I have a B3030 hydrostat trans and a cab. The front loader has a quick attach front with a skid steer quick attach bucket. I have power enough to pick up items in the bucket, but my issue is when I need to pick up the front end to slide the mower deck on and off the loader hydrolics are very weak. Additionally I sometimes get the tractor stuck, and in the past with my previous New Holland I would use the front bucket to pick up the front end and push or pull the tractor in what ever direction I needed to get unstuck. My New Holland was a 21 HP and the loader had plenty of power to lift the front of the tractor with absolutely no problem, for either sliding the mower deck or moving the tractor backward or forward. This 30 hp Kubota just does not have the power in the loader hydrolics to lift and move me. I called the dealer and he said he thinks it is because they (at my request when purchasing) put on the woods quick attach front end and bobcat bucket. He thinks this made it too heavy. I would understand if I had issues in raising the bucket with a load, but this is with the bucket on the ground pushing down, that would negate the weight of the quick attach front end and skid steer bucket. Anyone else have any similar issues with their Kubotas??

You may want to check your hydraulic pressure with a guage. Frequently they are set well below capacity from the factory.

Thank you, guys. I'll have to get it into the garage so they can check the pressure. It takes me about an hour to drive it there, but I just can't bring myself pay the $75.00 for the pickup charge. $7.00 in diesel and two hours drive time beats the $75.00 pick up charge.

Mine will also lift the front of the tractor off the ground with either the front loader or front hydraulic blade.

Mine will lift the front end even at idle, so something definitely needs to be adjusted on yours.

i thought my loader on my bx24 was really weak also but i bought a pressure gauge and checked it and the pressure was set really low from the factory. i bumped it up just slightly over spec and its like a new machine.

Sending mine away this week, hydo is chirping, fluid is clean and full. Sometimes I get really good power out of mine and sometimes its a week dog. I never really have any propblems out of the loader mine is just with the BH.

Took the 3030 to the shop today. I have a few very minor things for them to look at while its there, but What I did find out today that is that I was trying to lift the front end with the bucket laying flat. It seems to me I could lift my New Holland with the bucket flat and while pushing the bucket down I could roll the bucket and the front end was up. However I have found that since I have a BobCat bucket on the front there really is no roll since it is so flat. The service man had me put the bucket on the point and then push up and the front end came up. Also seems that the hydrolic arms may be a little shorter on the Kubota than my previous NH. He pointed out right away that there wasn't enough hydrolic arm to do what I was trying to do with a the bucket flat. Service man suggested I trade out the flat bobcat bucket for a more traditional tractor bucket. They're going to check the pressure in the arms anyway just to be sure they're fine. I spoke to the dealer about the bucket change and he's going to see what he can do.

More later.

Alrighty then.........dealer told me the reason the front end doesn't lift the unit as I would like is due to the skid steer bucket, which was placed on the tractor due to the quick attach front end I reqested, which he also feels is a problem with the loader. He looked for a standard 54 or 60 inch quick attach bucket but said that they were too heavy and not built for a B series tractor, and they were very expensive

I'm going to have to research and see if I can find a 54 or 60 inch bucket that will fit an ATI quick attach front end, at a reasonable price. I'm open for suggestions.

ATI has a couple of bucket options in that size you could look at. Not sure how much they are, but they are made for the smaller loaders with their skid steer type QA.

I looked at ATI and their smallest bucket that I could find was a 66 inch for a quick coupler. I need either a 54 or 60 inch.

OK, sorry, I forgot what the deal was with them - I did talk to them back when I was researching my tractor. You need to buy the QA plate and weld it to the factory bucket after cutting the pin-on brackets off.

Kind of a pain - now I remember that was the problem with the skid steer type QA on the B3030 - most of the buckets out there were too big & heavy, and you had to cut & weld. I thought I found a couple of buckets out there after a ton of searching, but I must have deleted the links once I decided to stick with the pin-type QA.

I did find this one:

60" Loader Bucket for Compact Tractor w/skid steer QA - eBay (item 230308405608 end time Nov-29-08 10:00:00 PST)

The dealer said it seemed ok, it is 60 inches and resembles more of a tractor bucket rather than a skid steer bucket. But then he went onto state that my current skid steer bucket is a heavier duty bucket, and i'd have to deal with shipping, which is rather a pain. in your opinion what do you think of this bucket? I'm kind of on the fence from just keeping the skid steer bucket and moving on to a traditional tractor bucket. But I gotta say the skid steer bucket annoys me every time I look at it. Don't know why other than it just dosent seem to look right on the tractor.
