During a visit to a dealer I was able do some comparisons between a B7800, B2910 and B3030. These are just My opinions after about a 30 minute visit.
My visit was to determine if a 403 loader will fit my 402 FEL attachments. They will not. Loader arms are closer by 3 3/8".
*A B7800 was setting next to the B3030. Both tractors had the same AG tires.
*B3030 hood sets above B7800 about 6". It appears tractor is setting higher above the front and rear axles.
*This is probably how 6" additional lift was gotten on the new 403 loader.
*Deck-foot rest appears to be higher also.
*Toolbox is behind seat.
*Cup holder is also behind seat left side. It would be difficult for me to reach back to get a drink.
*There is a plastic cover on right fender where 2 additional valves for T&T will be placed.
*Played with a metal pedal on right side of foot platform. This pedal controls the steering wheel tilt.
*Cruise control is now in the fender. Should be better than 2910's cruise control and will not be engaged when getting on and off tractor.
*There is only one neutral for 3 drive ranges. Lever must be put in Neutral to start. B2910 only required clutch be pushed in to start.
*There is no clutch on B3030. PTO is now hydraulic. I'm not sure this is a good thing or not.
*Front grill has been modified. It now has to bolts holding it on. B2910 had push on clips.
*Radiator screen is the same. Air cleaner has been modified to allow easier removal of screen. But still requires that snorkel be raised to get screen out.
I did not drive B3030. But like it's overall appearance. Just not sure that being about 6" higher is a good thing or not.
I hope the next time I inspect one, I will get to drive it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
