During a visit to a dealer I was able do some comparisons between a B7800, B2910 and B3030. These are just My opinions after about a 30 minute visit.
My visit was to determine if a 403 loader will fit my 402 FEL attachments. They will not. Loader arms are closer by 3 3/8".
*A B7800 was setting next to the B3030. Both tractors had the same AG tires.
*B3030 hood sets above B7800 about 6". It appears tractor is setting higher above the front and rear axles.
*This is probably how 6" additional lift was gotten on the new 403 loader.
*Deck-foot rest appears to be higher also.
*Toolbox is behind seat.
*Cup holder is also behind seat left side. It would be difficult for me to reach back to get a drink.
*There is a plastic cover on right fender where 2 additional valves for T&T will be placed.
*Played with a metal pedal on right side of foot platform. This pedal controls the steering wheel tilt.
*Cruise control is now in the fender. Should be better than 2910's cruise control and will not be engaged when getting on and off tractor.
*There is only one neutral for 3 drive ranges. Lever must be put in Neutral to start. B2910 only required clutch be pushed in to start.
*There is no clutch on B3030. PTO is now hydraulic. I'm not sure this is a good thing or not.
*Front grill has been modified. It now has to bolts holding it on. B2910 had push on clips.
*Radiator screen is the same. Air cleaner has been modified to allow easier removal of screen. But still requires that snorkel be raised to get screen out.
I did not drive B3030. But like it's overall appearance. Just not sure that being about 6" higher is a good thing or not.
I hope the next time I inspect one, I will get to drive it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for your observations. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I just want to say that the metal pedal to adjust the steering wheel tilt is on left side.
Last time I went to my dealer I took some pics of my B3030 but it wasn't ready yet. The BH75 wasn't mounted neither the belly mower. It should be home next week... around monday.

I saw too the plastic cover on the right fender. I think this is cool to have the possibility to install factory auxiliary valves integrated into the right fender. The problem is the price of these valves.

I don't understand why they've put the cup holder behind the seat. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I'll have to install an other one.

I'll post some pics I took that confirmed your observations. As you can see on this pic, I couldn't have compared it with other B series because on the left is a... L3430 (or so) and to the right a... L3400 (I think).

Is your B3030 ordered?

Thanks again... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

This one is about the trap for the valves and the cruise control.

On this one: the metal pedal (bottom left).

Ron I have a question. How many levers below the dash have you seen on the B3030 you looked at? Because on my pic there's only one for the parking brakes. But when I look at the B3030 brochure, the pic of the B3030 interior (cab model) has two lever like a B2910. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I asked my dealer but he doesn't know the answer.

As I said, my B3030 wasn't ready when I took the pictures so that's why my mower was in a crate.

I don't know why I took a pic of the hitch but there it is.

*There is no clutch on B3030. PTO is now hydraulic. I'm not sure this is a good thing or not

My conclusion is that it is not a good thing when using a post hole digger...

I only say this because it was just recently that I realized how much I would not like using a PHD on my BX2200. The reason being that the PTO is activated with the left hand and the 3PH is operated with the right hand...no way I could be looking back at the PHD and raising/lowering it, while at the same time maybe stopping and starting it, to throw dirt off the auger and save manual hole clean out work.

Other than the PHD, it may be a non issue...

Personally, the lack of a foot-operated clutch is a negative in my book. I don't think this is resistance to change on my part, but really just a practical consideration.

Actually, now that I think about it, the hydraulic clutch on my BX2200 is one of the things I really don't like. If I did not have the B2910 I might not know better. There is no control on the hydraulic PTO...bang and it's engaged. Very difficult to feather...I live with it as there is no choice, but much prefer the foot-operated clutch on the B2910.
