The box blade is a Woods 48". I got a pretty good deal on it since it had been sitting outside on the dealer's lot over the winter. It is the GB48 model, and I believe that Woods has stopped making that particular one. I debated getting a larger one, but after using this one some yesterday, I think I'm going to be pretty happy with the size, and weight of it. With the loaded R-4's I could make it work on a firm gravel base, and it seemed wide enough to cover my tracks on the swale I was working on. I have some tight places on some logging roads / trails I'm puttering with, and that was another reason to stay with the 48" width. This is the first time I've ever used one so I was winging it a bit too. They are getting more popular around here, but are still uncommon, and my neighbor (who has a tractor) still had to come over to see what it was..... :D

Ductape, Yes, I was struck by the nice size when I saw these on the dealer's porch when I went to get some parts for my Simplicity. They are somewhat smaller than the common ones I've seen, and are still very rugged. That trip for my $5.00 part sure cost a little extra, but I do really like the forks so far.

chuck,
My 7510 is 7" as well can't remember the width. I am glad to here the pins are so big.
What is the length of the forks you have? mine are 42" and am glad they are.
You will love the hitch I swap attachments all the time.

Hmm, can't tell you how long the forks are. I think they are over 36" so 42" might be about what these are. I doubt that they are longer than that. Raining here now, and it's time for some lunch, I'll check later sometime.

Edit: I did check Kubota's web site, and they say the forks are 36".

Did I miss seeing them or are there no grease zerks on the pins holding the QA bracket to the laoader arms/cylinders? :p

Yes, strangely, there are no grease zerks in the pins that come with the QA for where it mounts to the loader arms. You do end up with a couple of extra pins from your existing bucket though, and I think I will install those, and perhaps get a couple more.

:D :D Hmm, My son was visiting while we installed the QA, and it didn't occur to me that we needed to move the pins without the grease zerks to the bucket / forks side of the QA. We just installed them the way they came. There is no pivoting going on between the QA, and the attachment........ DUH

I'm thinking about this setup for my b2620. Pardon my stupidity but how does this QA work - you drive up, hook the top pins then manually insert bottom pins? I have just used the QA on my friends L35 with the levers. Also does moving the pivot point ahead have much effect on how much weight the bucket can pick up?

Chuck,

I like your fork setup pics and called local dealer on pricing for QA and forks for same setup on my B3200. I have a friend who has a set of forks from a forklift he used to have and said i could have them.I called another friend who works for a forklift company and he said that forks of this type come in two classes (2 or 3) difference in being 16" or 20"where the forks hook onto carriage. Dealer does not have one in stock to measure and would like to ask if you could measure your setup. If forks will work will save me around 400.00.
Measurement can be on the fork between where they hook on top and bottom or on carriage top to bottom.

Thanks Gene
