I bought my B7100DT 30 years ago and have used it non-stop for snowblowing, mowing, rototilling, wood hauling, and a lot more. The power and versatility of this little workhorse still amazes me.I have had very few problems with this tractor and actually my current problem is not with the tractor per se...it's with the snowblower. I use a Kubota B-222 "rotary snow plow" as the manual put it. But the unit is not orange-it is red and white ,with a McKee makers logo on it and the plates ID it as model 220, serial no. 528. but all pics and info in manual are a perfect match. Anyway... to my problem... I stripped the teeth on the shaft from the snowblower to the front PTO, and cant find a replacement for the life of me. (kubota part no. 70060-00249) nobody has it and I looked for days.My actual shaft is OK, but the 2" splined part that is welded to it is stripped. Does anyone have anything that will fit the tractors splined shaft? Would the spline coupler from a dead PO pump work? could I cut it off and weld it to my shaft? I'd consider an electric PTO clutch if I could find one. The only possibility I found so far is a new PTO pulley with bolt -on male splined protrusion that is mated to a new matching female splined shaft that would then accept my current pulley and mounting bracket- but its over $300 and a lot of work to make it happen-does anyone have any suggestions? Ive read the past few years of posts here and I just know one of you guys is clever enough to beat this one. Please help if you can, thanks, Michael Tobey

It's the" matching it up "part that I'm having so much trouble with. It is 18mm, 22 teeth or splines-apparently not a "standard"-I contacted many splined shaft manufacturers and nobody could help me-one said I could buy several snowblowers for the cost of them making me the part. they thought that this size was made by kubota for kubota only.

The b219 loader for the b7100 uses a front mount pump. There is a part that goes on the front PTO and turns it into a sprocket. Perhaps you could cut the spline section off of it. No pic in my manual but here is the info:

70050-00111 Sprocket W/18 - 22 Spline

Do you have a pic of the part you need? I have the parts manual for my b2551 snow blower which can be front mounted but it is not real obvious how they attach it to the front PTO.

Charles, Thanks for the info. Tomorrow I'll start researching that part availability. I've attached a schematic from my owners manual. (I dont have a pic) #1 is full page, No.2 is a close -up of the "shaft weldment" as they describe it.Let me know if you think the part you're describing would work for me. I really appreciate the suggestion, Michael

I have a B2650 snowblower off a B7100 Kubota and am adapting it to fit my BX2200. The only thing holding me up it the Kubota style PTO shaft, uses 10 spline yokes. Keep in mind I need a full shaft, the dealer quoted me $403 for a half shaft which means it will cost me $806 for a full shaft for the mid PTO to make it work. The only place I've been able to find the shaft is at the Kubota dealer. If I'm going to have this much difficulty find Kubota parts for a Kubota implement then why buy Kubota implements. I might as well by any other brand implement. More than likely the other brand will use more common parts. I'm only looking for basic yokes to attach to the mid PTO and the mid shaft, I can have the shaft made to any length I need. Very frustrating.

Dunno if this helps you at all, but i just ordered the female half of my mid shaft driving my B2650 blower (approximately $130). My local dealer quoted me approximately $470 for the whole assembly, including the locking splined ends. The part number for the shaft assembly is 70050-94286 (directly from the B2650/B2660 manual that come with my tractor). I assume this would attach to your mid PTO as well as mine. Obviously it could be lengthened or shortened accordingly.
