Kubota B7500
I'm considering a new Woods BH6000 for $3800 that I found. On a shipping pallet w/12" bucket. However, I need to get sub-frame and a Woods dealer quoted $1100. Are they really that much??? Makes the $3800 not such a bargain. Any comments???

You did not say what tractor you have. I have seen the Woods dealer
catalog with list prices and I do not recall seeing any over $950 or so.
The Woods dealer can charge anything he wants, however. That was for
the newer 4-point subframe. They still sell the older ladder style frames,
too, but maybe not for your machine. They are $500 or so, list. You also
need a couple of hours to install.

Woods requires you have a Woods or OEM loader.

I have the BH6000 backhoe on my B7500. Woods won't tell you that the B7510 subframe fits perfectly on a B7500, but it does. My total cost for the backhoe, subframe, installation, & pickup/delivery was $5K even.

I guess I wasn't very clear. I have a Kubota B7500 with OEM LA272 loader. I found a new Woods BH6000 backhoe for $3800 that sounded like a great deal, but I would need to get the 4 pt sub-frame for the Kubota B7500. Me thinking the sub-frame kit would be $400 or $500, thought that the $3800 price would be a bargain. But when a Woods dealer quoted me $1100 for the sub-frame kit, that I would install, plus I would need a hose kit for the hydraulics, now I'm not so sure. So I was just wondering if anyone had an idea if the $1100 for the sub-frame sounded right. That Woods kit for the B7500, and others, is a #1020800, if anyone has access to Woods pricing. Thanks!!!

My error. Your subject said 7500, so I was thinking the Woods
7500 hoe, not the B7500 tractor.

Here is a photo of the cheaper B-series Woods subframe (about $450)
on a B7800, I think. I can also dig up a photo of the 4-pt Woods
subframe for a B.

Woods 4-pt subframe....B series. I don't know which Kubotas. I
imagine this is the one you were quoted. Or one like it.

Yes, the one of the 4 point is what was quoted and is listed as the only sub-frame mount on the Woods web site. Is the one you call the "old B-series" what is considered a 3 point hitch mount?? I saw that option, but I've read that I shouldn't consider a 3 pt mount with a sub-compact like the B7500 Kubota. In any case, I was trying to find out if the 4 pt sub-frame price of $1100 sounded right.

Just as a point of clarity, your B7500 is not a sub-compact, it is a compact. Also, if you look at the factory Kubota backhoe sold by Kubota as a package on that tractor when it was new, I believe you will find it was a 3 point mount backhoe. It did require a heavy duty top link bracket as well as a frame reinforcement kit, but a 3 point mount nonetheless.

If you look at the Woos web site, they note which ones are 4-point
subframes. The others are the older style that make use of a ridgid
lower frame and a strengthened toplink bar. They are NOT 3-point mounts.
I am totally against using the 3-point to mount a backhoe on any CUT.

Kubota does have a 3-point backhoe, however, called the 4672. Their
official position on using the 3-point to mount a hoe on Kubota tractors is
that you void your warranty, unless you buy the Kubota 3-point hoe. I was
told that by a factory rep when I pointed out the irony.

As for the $1100 price you were quoted, I think that is high for parts only.
With labor, it is more consistant with the $950 parts price I have been
quoted.
