Kubota B7500
I'm considering a new Woods BH6000 for $3800 that I found. On a shipping pallet w/12" bucket. However, I need to get sub-frame and a Woods dealer quoted $1100. Are they really that much??? Makes the $3800 not such a bargain. Any comments???

You did not say what tractor you have. I have seen the Woods dealer
catalog with list prices and I do not recall seeing any over $950 or so.
The Woods dealer can charge anything he wants, however. That was for
the newer 4-point subframe. They still sell the older ladder style frames,
too, but maybe not for your machine. They are $500 or so, list. You also
need a couple of hours to install.

Woods requires you have a Woods or OEM loader.

I have the BH6000 backhoe on my B7500. Woods won't tell you that the B7510 subframe fits perfectly on a B7500, but it does. My total cost for the backhoe, subframe, installation, & pickup/delivery was $5K even.

I guess I wasn't very clear. I have a Kubota B7500 with OEM LA272 loader. I found a new Woods BH6000 backhoe for $3800 that sounded like a great deal, but I would need to get the 4 pt sub-frame for the Kubota B7500. Me thinking the sub-frame kit would be $400 or $500, thought that the $3800 price would be a bargain. But when a Woods dealer quoted me $1100 for the sub-frame kit, that I would install, plus I would need a hose kit for the hydraulics, now I'm not so sure. So I was just wondering if anyone had an idea if the $1100 for the sub-frame sounded right. That Woods kit for the B7500, and others, is a #1020800, if anyone has access to Woods pricing. Thanks!!!

My error. Your subject said 7500, so I was thinking the Woods
7500 hoe, not the B7500 tractor.

Here is a photo of the cheaper B-series Woods subframe (about $450)
on a B7800, I think. I can also dig up a photo of the 4-pt Woods
subframe for a B.

Woods 4-pt subframe....B series. I don't know which Kubotas. I
imagine this is the one you were quoted. Or one like it.

Yes, the one of the 4 point is what was quoted and is listed as the only sub-frame mount on the Woods web site. Is the one you call the "old B-series" what is considered a 3 point hitch mount?? I saw that option, but I've read that I shouldn't consider a 3 pt mount with a sub-compact like the B7500 Kubota. In any case, I was trying to find out if the 4 pt sub-frame price of $1100 sounded right.

Just as a point of clarity, your B7500 is not a sub-compact, it is a compact. Also, if you look at the factory Kubota backhoe sold by Kubota as a package on that tractor when it was new, I believe you will find it was a 3 point mount backhoe. It did require a heavy duty top link bracket as well as a frame reinforcement kit, but a 3 point mount nonetheless.

If you look at the Woos web site, they note which ones are 4-point
subframes. The others are the older style that make use of a ridgid
lower frame and a strengthened toplink bar. They are NOT 3-point mounts.
I am totally against using the 3-point to mount a backhoe on any CUT.

Kubota does have a 3-point backhoe, however, called the 4672. Their
official position on using the 3-point to mount a hoe on Kubota tractors is
that you void your warranty, unless you buy the Kubota 3-point hoe. I was
told that by a factory rep when I pointed out the irony.

As for the $1100 price you were quoted, I think that is high for parts only.
With labor, it is more consistant with the $950 parts price I have been
quoted.

Thanks again. I was asking for parts quote, which although the parts are fairly significant, $1100 seemed like a lot of money for JUST parts. I'll try another Woods dealer.

I have a kubota b7510 and would like to now wheter to get the woods bh6000 or the bx70x backhoe for my tractor will be used light use around the house. I just got a price for 5300.00 installed with 4 point subframe . my only concern is the seperate seat on this subframe versus a swivel seat. I want the backhoe to look like part of the tractor and not an attachment can anyone help with some info or a picture thanks Tim

In my opinion, the BH6000 is a better fit than the BH70. Woods adds counterweight to the front of the 7610 when the BH70 is installed..... to me this means the 70 is a little too much hoe for that tractor. I don't believe you will find and swivel seat kit for your tractor. You will need to purchase a new 2X20 series with the factory Kubota to get a singe, swivel seat.

Thanks for the info that is the first I heard of the kubota hoe. all I have seen is the bh65 and bh75 backhoes for the new 26 series. my biggest problem with kubota is after they change the model they stop making products for the later models. Or at least thats what the local dealer tells me. does anyone know if the 4 point frame mounted bh6000 with its own seat looks like a good fit on the b7510. I just do not want it sticking to far out and not looking like part of the tractor. any pictures would be great

I just installed a BH6000 on my B7510. The 4 point sub frame was $1200.00 and the Woods BH6000 was $4000.00. I did the install myself. In my opinion, if Kubota did make a swivel seat for a B7500 / B7510, it would not get you close enough to the back hoe controls. The sub frame comes with hydraulic kit and seat kit.

Thanks for the info. I am really interested in how yours looks would it be to much to ask if you could post a pic. I have a price of 5300 installed or 5100 uninstalled. I would be comfortable with the install but I am not sure how to plumb it.

The install is not difficult, definitely something a do-it-yourselfer can do. You will, however, need to educate yourself on your tractors hydraulic system. That can be done by reading threads right here on TBN on other people's installations. To power your hoe, you will need to tap into your tractor's power beyond circuit in the hydraulic system. Honestly, two hundred dollars to have the dealer do the install is very reasonable in my opinion. You will most definitely love your new backhoe...... it completely turns your tractor into a different tool. :)

sounds like I am going to do the install myself and take the money I was going to spend on labor and add the thumb. I am sure I can handle the install as I do mechanical maintenance for a living. does anyone know approx. how long the install takes? I assume you have to add oil to the hydraulic system. I am new to this sight and still am learning how to navigate thru it any help on how to find the threads on the installs would be great

Up toward the top of the page you will see 'search' between Main Index and My Home. You can use words like 'power beyond' 'backhoe installation' 'subframe' and such to narrow down your search. You'll find pleny of help and advice here, but its always best to read up first, then ask questions for particular concerns rather than expect a full explanation on the whole process up front. Most topics are discussed often enough that folks wont take the time to type out paragraph after paragraph on a given subject matter week after week. I did my own backhoe install on two tractors, its not difficult. I'm gonna guess that the subframe install will take a few hours. It probably takes more time to torque the bolts than the rest of the whole install. Assuming you get the hydraulic kit from Woods, hooking up the power beyond loop to the rear of your tractor should be pretty straight forward. You will want to keep in mind the hoe will be heavy. Getting it out of your truck or trailer to prepare it for the install will be a challenge. I'd probably plan on a whole saturday to prep the hoe, install the subframe, and hook up the hydraulic lines.
