Tractor
Massey Ferguson GC 1725 MB - Kubota L5030 - John Deere Z960M
I'm looking online at these two ...

Pardon Our Interruption this last week they dropped the price $700 ... It's at a John Deere dealer ... (Links got to tractor house!)

And this just came up for sale this past weekend ... At a Kubota dealer ... Pardon Our Interruption

They seem to very similar tractors, just that the B7500 is a slightly newer version? The B7500 is slightly lighter weight according to tractor data ...

I really don't need or want either mower ... I'm learning towards the newer cheaper B7500 as the rear 5' finish mower will be easier to get rid of once I retire in two years, as of now I'm not home much to deal with selling stuff ... It also has a tad less hours ...

The B2100 looks to be in a tad better taken care of shape, other than a dent in the hood and something in the center rear seems to be missing by the dangling wire? And comes with front weights ...

I'm mostly looking for another tractor to run both my 48" rototiller, and 60" land plane much more often than I have been ...

This way I can just grab a set of keys and go, while leaving my Massey Ferguson GC 1725 MB TLB with the Backhoe on it ... The Kubota's are both much lighter than the way I have my SCUT set up, they are about 1500 Lbs, with larger diameter tires, compared to my SCUT which weighs about 2800 Lbs with smaller diameter tires, before adding the rototiller on the back of either, so either Kubota would result in less soil compaction ... Plus the 3" wheel spacers on my SCUT makes it 50" wide ... (Rototiller is 48" wide!)

My thought is the next time home to go look at both of them ... The B2100 is about 80 miles away, the B7500 is another 85 miles past it, so look at the B2100, then go look at the B7500 ... Hopefully make a decision to either load the B7500 on my trailer, or stop on the way back home to get the B2100 ...

I don't need or want a loader, or mower ... I'm trying to get an inexpensive tractor to mostly run my rototiller as I'm trying to get my garden area ready for retirement when I plan to actually plant in it ... It's VERY rocky, and at first I'd hand pick out rocks ... But after half a dozen buckets full of picking rocks, my old back and legs decided there must be a better way!

So I built a screen ...

But ... If I don't keep after it, the weeds and grass grow up, so I brush hog it, and I then have lots of roots and grass which clog up the screen ... !

While I don't drive much on my driveway, it's mostly "weed control" I'm wanting to do, to keep away from chemicals ...

Time will tell ... At the moment I'm having second thoughts of selling out here ... The market is kinda crazy now ... Still watching it though ... While it would be nice to have a smaller house, and more woods outside ... I do have a nice setup here, and I'm not crazy of the idea of giving $25K - $30K away in sales commissions ...

But every improvement I make here, just makes it easier to sell, if I should choose too ... But that means packing up again ... Not crazy about that either!

I figure if one tractor is good, two is better, three has gotta be even better! 😂

While a BX would do the job, I like the idea of larger diameter tires ...

You could be like my neighbor with 14 running tractors and a couple non running. He adopted mentality of not wanting to unhook implements so bought a tractor for majority of what he does. Also has 3 or 4 riding mowers for use on different parts of the lawn.

That is a lot of vehicles to maintain for 200 acre farm.

Sounds like me before I sold out.

I had a tractor/mower combination for every task and never changed implements the mowing season.

Each spring/fall, I would install/remove mowers and FELS, even though most of the FELS remained unused when I sold out.
