B7610HSD snowplow retrofit

I don't know if this is the problem in your situation, BUT, you may not have a control valve that will do what you want. Apparently there are "4- way" control valves that are required with the complete Kubota ft. blade kits, and some of the various Kubota models (my L3010 /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif) don't come with that, they only have a 2? or 3 way valve. I've been shopping at the local Kubota dealer and have been quoted $480- $700 depending on whether I speak to the parts dept. or sales dept. I was also told that all of the new L3130's come with a 4-way valve that is needed. Hope this helps, let us (ME /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif!) know, I'm at that stage now...

Nice lookin job, but I can not beleive that you did all that to save a few bucks. Now when you want to use the FEL look what you got to change and unbolt. You could have had a better set up if you would have put a QA on the FEL, bucket and plow. It would then require only to throw 2 levers and uncouple 2 hoses. I had the same set up that you have but had a blower and a plow. It was about 2hrs min. just to change over to the FEL. But as long as you are happen with it and don't need the Fel in the winter you are all set.

Looks like you did what I suggested in your second picture. You may not have a 4 way valve. Check out this thread. Click Here

Well, I don't know how much the front blade portion of his plow would cost, but for an L3010, just the front blade part of the kit is around $1600- I think he has saved more than a "few bucks".

Thanks guys, I posed the valve question to the dealer when I ordered the subframe kit. They were in fact aware that both of the two blade kits which are used with this subframe required a particular valve. They told me that if I already had the loader and valve w/ float I would be fine. I didn't find the valve part #'s in my downloaded service manual on the first pass earlier but do remember seeing the valve PN# requirement listed in the subframe instruction manual so I will check that when I get home. I will not be happy if I got bogus info from my dealer. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

The only time that you need a 4/way valve is when you have a snowblower, that has an hyd motor that rotates the shutte. I had one with mine and hated it when using the FEL, just couldn't get use to that 4th position.

Ok - looking in the B2733 subframe kit manual, it refers to only one type of control valve assembly when installing with a pre-existing front loader - Auxiliary Valve Kit B2056. The illustration shows a 4-port assembly - which looks just like what I have but with only two male quick couplers installed, the upper and lower right side ports.

A more careful read of the instructions say to place a red identification ring on the hose that connects to the lift cylinder's lower port and a blue ring on the hose that connect's to the upper cylinder port. Then --and here's where I goofed-- place the second red ring on the lower right control valve assembly and the second blue ring on the upper right valve port (I originally put a ring on each end of the new hoses and assumed they corresponded to the colors of the existing dust caps on the control valve, oops).

So, that means hose placement in the second pic was indeed correct with respect to the lift cylinder hoses:

- lift cylinder lower port hose w/ red ring to lower right valve port w/ yellow oem dust cover
- lift cylinder upper port hose w/ blue ring to upper right valve port w/ white oem dust cover

You would think Kubota might make an effort to keep hose indicator colors among attachments consistent with valve port colors, guess not. To keep my simple life even simpler, I'm just going to pick up some dust plugs for the new hoses to match the oem valve dust cap colors.

That still doesn't explain why I am only getting extend pressure to one side. Swapping the angle cylinder hoses at the control valve between the upper and lower left-hand ports does extend the opposite side cylinder even though the control lever might have to be moved in the wrong direction.

I made a mental note to myself to check hyd fluid level and call the dealer in the a.m. I presume they have a record of what came on the tractor since it sounded like they did look it up to confirm compatability when I ordered the subframe kit. In the meantime, I checked the LA352 section of the downloaded B7610 parts manual and found exploded views of three different valve controls:

1.) 'Valve Control', Part #7J044-61010 (looks close, but I think I see slight differences)
2.) 'Valve Control', Part #75533-62010 (pretty sure this is it, need to take another look at mine)
3.) 'Assy Valve Control', Part #75540-618009 (99% sure this is not it)

The first two control valves are each shown with (4) male quick couplers. Anybody happen to know the differences between the two? Also does 4-port necessarily = 4-way?

Four port = 4 outlets to cylinder or other attachment.
Four-Way = Valve operation.
You need to get some sleep before calling dealer today. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Does the Kubota have the 4-way (sometimes called 4-position) valve or the 3-way? That could explain your problems. The 4 hose connectors are for the work ports (2 for each port) for the 2 spools (lift and curl) and have nothing to do with the type of valve you have. Take a look at the following post by Kubmech. It should explain what is happening.

3-way vs 4-way valve
