My throttle was very stiff when I took delivery of the tractor and I finally tore it apart and freed it up. After several years and 600 hours more it was becoming very stiff again. For those that have the same problem here are the steps that need to be done to free it up: The job only takes 30 minutes at most.
紐emove the center screw on the top of the dash panel.
紐emove steering wheel.
紐emove throttle level (roll pin needs to be pounded out)
紐emove plastic handles from the parking brake and cruise control levers - they pull right off.
紐emove rubber boot from steering column.
畢ift entire panel up about 1 inch so that the lower portion clears the slots.
謬he entire dashboard and lower shroud can be jockeyed in such a way that the lower linkage of the throttle can be seen and worked on.
俵sing a 12 mm gear wrench or open end the lower nut (locking) can be loosened and the tension then can be adjusted. I used vise grips to hold the throttle shaft while breaking the nut loose.
畢ubricate and set the lock nut when the tension is right.
紐eassemble in the reverse order.
