I just took this one of Oscar this morning. He creates beds all over the place, and after it rains, they turn into mud holes that he really enjoys. This is the first time that I was able to get a picture of him in his glory with an audience!!!

Eddie,I just took this one of Oscar this morning. He creates beds all over the place, and after it rains, they turn into mud holes that he really enjoys. This is the first time that I was able to get a picture of him in his glory with an audience!!!
He was 508 on new year's day a year ago. I haven't figured out since then, but would guess 520 or so. His growing has really slowed down,.but will never stop
My Grand dad said he had a Poland China boar that reached 1200 pounds. I've hear of them getting bigger, but never seen one. In fact, about the biggest I ever recall seeing was a Duroc boar that weighed about 750...and you could smell him from 100 yards away. Being from farming country, it made me wonder why no one ever had these huge hogs. I recall my VoAg teacher saying that they were worthless when they got that big, especially a boar, which was way too big for breeding.
My Uncle's boar got big enough to break a sows legs when he mounted it, so two pigs got slaughtered.
