Tiller Back from Michigan with KK2

I would have never thought it would fit in the back of the SUV. That's about 800 lbs of dead weight too, btw. I just bought a 3yr old used KKII tiller last month identical to yours, gave $900 USD for it and the blades still have lots of yellow paint on them. Haven't even hooked it up to the tractor yet. Supposedly you can go to the KK website and download the owners manual for it. I tried it but it didn't work for me. Good luck with your new tiller!

Let me guess where you bought it, hmm......Rosseel's?
A few years ago I bought a Woods BH90X BH from them, had it shipped waay out here and still saved mega $$$$. A good outfit to deal with.

Have you tried looking for pdf of the manual online? Perhaps even KK has them?

If I remember correctly, on most gear boxes, there is a hole to fill to. If you over-fill, many times the gear lube just runs out. I'm sure there are different approaches to this though.

You can google King Kutter 2 manual and you will get a PDF.

Ya, the manual says to fill with oil until it flows out the hole. Problem is, they do not say how much oil each gear box takes.
I'd like to know how much I need to order

Isn't it just 75w-90 gear lube? At least that is what mine uses. I have quarts of the stuff on hand because it is used in so many places. Gear box on my RFM, front axle on my Kubota, Lower end unit on my outboard, etc .....

Nope. It's GL5 80w140 I won't use it in anything else and I'm gonna use amsoil synthetic. It's pricy and I have to order it. If I only need 2 quarts I don't want to end up order a gallon.

Chris, did you end up buying it from Joe at Rosseel"s? Joe buys at Brindleys at their auction sales and they trade equipment back and forth. I've known him for a lot of years. My buddy bought a jd tractor at Rosseels and Brindleys did all the paperwork for it to cross the border. Small world.
Did you end up getting any other bargins there, I always end up with more than I need.
