The filter doesnt indicate GPM, I am pushing 8.3 GPM,, bob I don't see the difference mine is just inline with QC,,,,why is it blowing apart, the hoses coming off the hoe are 3/4 or metric eq to 1/2 QC, then 1/2" back to the tractor. Also the feed from the tractor is 1/2"

Btw ended up with loaded fronts and 4/42 LB weights on the front

check output of filter to tank.. must be an obstruction past the filter for pressure to blow filter in the line to the tank.

is there a QD AFTER the filter?

I assume the filter is plumbed correctly for the direction of flow.
Remove the downstream quick-connect and reconnect the return line to the filter and try it again.
But before you do that, I have to ask; Does your return line goes directly back to the reservoir?

Yes there is a QC downstream of the filter,,and yes the arrows are in the right direction,,,I am changing the set up slightly, going to mount a 2 spool remote valve to run TNT , and set the valve up with QC so I can just hook in the backhoe,,,,by disconnecting the supply and return from the remote valve, and just looping it into the hoe.

Either that or using one of the spools and bungeeeing the handle so it works?,,,that way the filter will be downstream of the remote?

I would sure like to see a full schematic of your "add-on" hydraulic system. :licking:

ditto that. something must be downstream of the filter to be adding back pressure.. like it's into a PB in port, and powers another function downstream like a 3pt cyl, etc..

The mere fact that you suggest using bungee cord on a valve instead of a couple of these: Surplus Center - 1/2" NPT 20 GPM PRINCE SELECTOR VALVE, and the prolific use of quick-connects, makes me ponder.

Curious if you are mixing open center and closed center valves.

I used two valves, but yes you can use a tee if the return goes to the same reservoir and there is no "float" or "regen" in the main control valve.
