Thanks Chris...You did keep my mind open and I did look around. Nothing out there changed my mind...I could have driven myself nuts by comparing individual trucks, but I'd be retired by the time I narrowed down 2 to look at. To be honest, the dealer tried to do that. I give them credit for that.

I'm sure we'll still throw peanuts at each other over Ford vs GM but that's what hangin out is all about.

Thanks for your suggestions and opinions on the matter.

Once I have the stupid thing, I'll post some pictures.

What about some pictures of your Fords?...All i've ever seen is the Titan. You know TBN rules: Without pictures, it never happened.

Congrats on the new truck and a personal thanks for buying one of our products. You got a very nice unit with alot of options. You can't go wrong with black. I walk down the final line every night before leaving the plant. The black trucks with the polished alluminum wheels really stand out under all the fluorescent lights.

If at the end you got a loaded truck that your wife was talking you into buying you are doing something right!

Congrats on the new GM truck. I see someone attempted to convince you to buy a Ford in only about 10 different posts in this thread and of course stated the same 20 different reasons he doesn't like GM along with all the bad GM experiences he has had. :confused2::confused2: Spellbinding, isn't it? LOL

Through all the attempted brainwashing, it sounds like you got a great truck. I am in the process of buying a used GM HD dually 4x4, but probably won't bother to start a thread or share pictures. Don't really want to put up with the anti-GM sentiment and same negative GM posts/stories from the same member for the thousandth time, so why bother. :(

Good luck with the truck. Please post up some pictures for us lonely GM owners. I would appreciate seeing them.

I have posted pics of both the F-250 and the F-350 back in the thread where you show your tow vehicles off. I will get on the computer and send you some more, I am doing this from my phone on the road.

I guess you are referring to me. I also guess you did not or could not read this entire post. I think even the OP will agree while I did suggest he look at the competition what I did for the most part was help him with suggestions on how to haggle the price and steer him away from the 5.3 with 3.42 gears.

Go back and read!

About 12 times ..... It gets nauseating after a while. You just have to calm down and realize not all of us are gonna drive Fords. It's that simple. Some of us are gonna go GM or Dodge, or own multiple brands at the same time like me and we're no less of a person for it.

In every single topic about GM or Dodge on this website, it's as if you feel obligated to try to convince the OP of the thread that they're making a mistake by not buying a Ford.

I am here to tell you that I have managed to run 2 businesses for over 22 years by being open to buying the best truck, tractor, trailer, backhoe, chainsaw, etc. available for my needs and budget when I'm buying. In your own words you said "Ford runs the world", but that's in your world. In other people's worlds, they may view things differently than you. They may think buying the best product at the time for them regardless of brand is best for them. ;)

Quite amusing as usual. Lets see, I currently own 2 Fords and a Nissan. Up until May I owned a GM along side them. I am really wearing Ford Blinders as you say?????

I'm staying out of this...You both have points.

To be honest, Chris was very easy on me in this thread in terms of the GM stuff. He gave me alot of good advise and encouragement, along with many others, and for that I am very greatful.

I know where he stands on the matter and he didn't really try to steer me away from GM...A little maybe, but not much.

Other threads...Well...;)

Thank you... Like I said before I just tried to help you with the negotiating process. It was clear early on you were getting a GM. If you remember I suggested you look at all 5 brands. If noting else it would confirm you wanted the GM....

Anyway, I am glad you got a new truck. You have been working hard and if you wanted it you should get it no matter what any of us have to say about it.
