Looking to put a back up camera in my new Kubota svl65. I have a cheap on in there right now I grabbed locally but looking for an upgrade.
I have a few needs:
Has to stay on all the time
Has to have pretty good resolution
Has to have a large screen. I am getting older and do not want to squint. This is a 7" monitor and I want larger. I do not think all 7" monitors are the same. This one is wide and not very tall.
Bluetooth is a bonus for less wire issues but can go either way.
I can mount the camera or magnet.

I see many companies offering what they call a heavy duty setup. I have seen them as high as 1600. I am looking 400 or below.

Anyone actually have one they have used and can recommend?

I read your thread and I agree, would love to have a rear mounted camera for snowblowing. Have to twist around and have just the tip of my foot pushing foot pedal while stretching to see (what I'm about to hit). Unfortunately, the makeup of our door yard is cut into areas to blow in a specific order to control how the snow makes its way into the swamp. So now that I self-reflect not sure if a camera system will work for my application.

My security camera system for home has tons of weather proof, night vision, high def cameras available for under $50. What I just can’t find is a weather resistant monitor for my open cab tractor that I can hose the dust off after tilling.

I can’t believe there isn’t a good option out there. Anyone seen a marine TV that would work? They would likely be weather resistant and able to tolerate bouncing around and shocks.

Mine is from rearviewsafety [.com], love it.
I followed a kubota camera build thread on this site [eons ago] to see what the bucket tip was actually doing.
I have 2 cameras to cover both ends, monitor has a button to switch back & forth.

They exist, I believe even amazon sells them. How are you doing your search engine request?
try: skid steer camera monitor or waterproof camera monitor

Rearviewsafety has 2 models

Every search result I have ever found has waterproof cameras, but I think I saw only a single waterproof monitor that was $799. All of the other monitors on Amazon with either of your search terms was designed to be inside a cab and out of the weather.

Its virtually impossibility to find a monitor that’s waterproof with a search, because every seller mentions their waterproof cameras. Even monitors alone for some reason mention waterproof cameras :(

I have a Haloview system with 3 cameras that are IP69 which is as water proof as you can get.

That's just what he said. Water proof cameras don't seem to be a problem. It's the display he's asking about. When I was using my Samsung Tablet for my cropping, I simply removed it from the clamping bracket. I have an open station with a top but I didn't take the tablet out in the rain or leave it on the tractor.

It may be easier to build an enclosure with a removable front panel that you can put in place when cleaning or it rains.

BTW, I am looking at a wireless system so the camera can be located wherever needed by using magnets.

The Haloview that I bought is wireless. I miss-read his post. I haven't run across any weather proof monitors. Mine is in a cab. I would think an enclosure would definitely be wise to house a monitor.

So for anyone interested. The Haloview can receive up to 4 cameras. 7" monitor, 720P resolution. The monitor can be set for split screen for 2,3 or 4 cameras or single screen for 1 camera so that the camera resolution is really good and viewable. It has the mirror function so that you can see as if you are turned around looking or looking in a mirror. Power must be provided for the monitor and cameras. The monitor comes with a hard wire pigtail or a cig lighter attachment. It has a perm mount bracket or a temp mount bracket. It also has wiring so that you can install a selector switch to switch between monitors so that you don't have to finger the buttons on the monitor. It selects any camera and whichever split screen you have selected. The cameras are IP69 water proof which is the highest waterproofing there is. Be careful here. Most cameras aren't IP69, they are IP67 or 68. The cameras have perm mount or you can buy optional mag mount. You can also buy a battery pack in case hard wiring power is difficult. I bought this for my loader mounted camera. This system comes with one camera. I bought 2 extra plus 3 mag mounts and a battery pack. $569 if I remember correctly. For everything. I'm installing 2 cameras for rear view and one on the loader. This is an awesome system. No idea of it's longevity yet. The monitor is NOT waterproof.

fwiw
I just received this from Amazon yesterday:

I don't operate my tractor in the rain so having a waterproof monitor isn't important. For snow removal I'll probably just put a plastic bag over it. This one comes with 2 cameras and can operate split screen or you can select one camera. It's 9" diagonal and 1080p. I hooked it up in my basement to check it out and I think its going to be perfect for me. Both cameras will be rear mounted. One will face down at the rear implement and the other straight back. For my current project of regrading my driveway with the box blade it's going to be a neck saver.
I finally decided to mount it on the FEL plastic valve cover with 3 magnet strips:

Today I added a switched 6 position fuse block on the inside of the right fender. It will power the camera system and my ROPS mounted LED lights. Tomorrow the magnets should come in and with any luck I'll finish this project.
