Re: backhoe for 4115 - It\'s Official!

Check out the "build & price" configurator on the Deere website - the 46 Backhoe for 4100, 4110, 4115 is listed and the base price is less than $6000 (not including rear hydraulics). It's a sub-frame mount, 6.5 foot digging depth, and many bucket sizes are available. I'm calling D&G Equipment for delivery estimates today!

Sounds like an update to the #7 backhoe I just put on my 790. Nice little machine /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: backhoe for 4115 - It\'s Official!

If anyone finds any more information on the web on this new 46 hoe for
the 41XX series tractors, please pass it along........that is good news
for Deere, as at long last they can compete with Kubota directly.
I think blue, green and orange are all great tractors, but Kubota was
getting the edge due to the backhoe capability.

I asked my local dealer about the new Model 46 today and he said he has yet to see one and does not know what the price will be either. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I've heard it's due out in July. My dealer show me a picture on some sort of announcement that Deere put out recently.

Re: backhoe for 4115 - It\'s Official!

Today I saw alot of info on the new 46 hoe. The dealers can look it up online in the sales training section. There were alot of pictures and information on how the hoe mounted to the frame. Looks like a subframe mount but there is a xtra attaching point near where the loader attaches to the frame. There was a picture of this detail but I dont know enough about backhoes to tell you more.

The 46 subframe will not interfere with the mounting of the MMM like on the NH tractors. The dealer said he could tell from the pictures and description. It is available for order now. I know this because me dealer tried to check an arrival date and inadvertently ordered one.

This info was enough for me to cancel my 2210 and get the 4110. The dealer has been waiting three weeks for the mounting brackets for the MMM on the 2210. Lucky for me because I really wanted a backhoe but did not want to get a huge tractor.

I got the 4110 4wd, hst, turfs, folding rops, dual scv, fel with 53" bucket, two chain hooks, imatch, 60" MMM and power beyond kit for $16020. I will be ready for the 46 hoe, who knows I might get it when the one the dealer ordered by mistake comes in. Also the MMM is now green like the 7iron decks instead of the usual yellow.

This thread caused me to change my mind on my tractor purchase. Thankyou.

Re: backhoe for 4115 - It\'s Official!

So cool. This thread has changed my thinking as well. I had just decided to buy a BX22, but I couldn't get over the fact that the 3 pt couldn't handle some of the implements I need. I like the size of the 4115, but I need (want) a BH. Plus my local Kobota dealer still hasn't gotten back to me with numbers on my trade after leaving 3 messages. I probably wasn't going to trade it in anyway, but if they ignore me when I am trying to buy a tractor, what happens when I'm needing service?
At the same time, I just had an amazing experience with the local JD dealership. My mower deck broke on my current JD 400. I got it stuck and broke the gear box off the top of the mmm. The repair guy got hurt, and couldn't come out and repair it, so the service manager came out and welded it himself. They knew that I have a B&B, and I really needed to mow before the weekend. He was at my house until 8pm. Keep in mind this is a 25 year old (although restored) L&G tractor and I had never been to this dealership before. When I called today to find out to find out more about the 46 backhoe, I wanted to let the owner know how impressed I was with his service manager. It turns out, it was the owner himself who made the service call. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I just might have to stay green! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Can the 4110 handle the 46 how as well?

Re: backhoe for 4115 - It\'s Official!

EldoNixon,

Yes the 4110 can handle the 46. Seems to me you have a great dealer, I would stick with him.

I see that you are from Saratoga Springs, so am I. I grew up right in town and most of my family still lives there. I will be up there tomorow. Where is your B&B? Are you booked for the track season yet?

I keep looking and can't find more than a few references to the 46 (all I see is the tall ROPS - required for 46)

Re: backhoe for 4115 - It\'s Official!

Mike,

On the product configurator page choose tractors for the category and build for the configuration. This will open a new window with six pull down menus. Choose the second to the last labled Equipment for Compact Utility Tractors. The option that is showing is the 7 backhoe for the the 790 tractor. If you scroll all the way to the right you can pull down that menu and the 46 backhoe will be you third choice.
