Backhoe Backhoe on my 4310

Well I decided that the rain couldn't hurt me, besides the ditch I was needing to dig was to carry the rain water away from the horse barn. Yes I went out and got soaked playing on the new backhoe.

It does a pretty good job. A couple of the controls are a little stiff, gotta do something about that. Over all it will work for the type of things I will need it for.

And of course I broke something on it the first day. It has a transport lock. It is a simple metal hook that slips over a pin to keep the boom from dropping during transport. I was heading for the house and put the lock down, then I decided to dig a little more. I turned the tractor around and I had been diggeng for a few minutes before I noticed it. It never hesitated when it stretched it.

Nice photos. Don't forget that you need to grease more often if working in wet conditions.

WRT the broken transportation hook, you're right. Backhoes are very strong when there up against something you don't want broken.
