Well, I didn't know exactly where to post this, but it had to be posted somewhere! Imagine the confidence required to do this. Obviously the operator doesn't believe in Murphy's Law, he doesn't even wear a helmet!

Love it! Awsome!!!

Some how I don't think we could do that in the USA.

Oh, I don't know about that. Have your ever seen a "Robo-Coaster"? It's a robot that Fanuc built an amusement ride around (I think others have done it since). Kind of a funny story related to this "non-intended use" of industrial equipment. I was an exhibitor at a robot show in Chicago about 8 yrs ago. Fanuc had brought their new Robo Coaster ride. We flipped out when we saw it run. The morning of the show opening the Fire Marshall and police were making their rounds of the exhibit hall to make sure everything was "safe" and up to code. The look on their faces when they rounded the corner and saw this thing flinging riders all over the place was priceless. They shut it down momentarily until the exhibitors showed they met all the safety standards for an "amusement ride". I got to ride it a number of times that week. They had 5 settings. The operator would ask you which one you wanted. (I never got past "3"). Then people would stand around and throw tennis balls at you to see if you could catch them. You got a Fanuc key chain if you caught one. Great prize for risking your life.

They're all over the place now. Check out YouTube.

But back to this post: Great publicity for the company. I'm sure they sold a lot of equipment due to this.
