Thanks guys, I sent in an email to my Kubota sales person I've been dealing with for years. I requested amongst other things, a price on a Woods subframe for my tractor. I'm trying to get ready for the sticker shock. If it's anything like the cost of the rear remotes, it'll sting pretty good I'm sure. I appreciate the information in the responses I'm getting on this thread. I have to make a decision soon to get it working, or the ground will be frozen and stored until next spring. Again, thanks guys...

I found out the Woods subframe is $1150.00, the 6GPM PTO kit is $875.00 and they can install a hydraulic loop for $250.00 to run the backhoe off the tractor hydraulics. At this point, I'm probably going with the rear hydraulic loop (still very tempted to spend the $750.00 (installed myself) rear remote kit) and just using my CAT 2 hitch. I'm not planning on using the hoe all that often. It's mainly just for digging hole to plant small trees and maybe some ditches for drainage.

I found out today that the rear remote ($850.00 installed) will have to be held open with a bungee cord to run the backhoe. The rear remote spool valve wasn't designed to lock in the open position. I'm supposed to drop the tractor off at some point this weekend to have the hydraulic loop installed ($250.00) on Monday.

A friend of mine has a L4330 and has to do the same thing when he uses his BH. I don't think it is too uncommon.

In my earlier post I thought that you were talking about a simple loop. I was wondering how that would cost $850. Anyway, I installed a power beyond kit (loop) on my tractor for my log splitter, but when I put on the backhoe I had to install a third connection that drained directly back to the oil sump for the return line.

Maybe I should get the full rear remote kit installed ($850.00). You never know when you'll need the spool valve to control something. The dealer is doing the work Monday. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gifGrrrr, decisions, decisions...

Had the dealer install the remote when buying the tractor for the BH and future use. About a year later I added an HTL and a dump trailer not to long after that. Having an HTL is just SO much more productive. I would never be with out one again.

Hi CTyler,
What's HTL stand for? Sounds like something I need...

Point of fact, the Kubota rear remotes are powered from the FEL power beyond port as is the 3PH.
