I don't think you can buy directly from Amerequip, what I think you MIGHT be able to do is to buy it from a dealer that carries a brand name with a lower premium.
It is at least possible that the particular JD tractor is made off-shore, e.g. South Korea.
I would do a bit of research to find out about that first, then try to identify who else they produce the same tractor for via the marvels of "emblem engineering".
At that point it should be obvious that the underguts of the two (or more) tractors are bolt hole for bolt hole compatible and but for color and decals it is a JD hoe on a JD tractor.
Ahhh, the neighbors...
Yeah it might fail the test as as a driveway ornament, but for maybe >$1,000 in savings I think I could put up with that.
BTW, I have an Amerequip 8600 and my sub frame came in two parts.
The rear and mostly vertical part can thought of as the Amerequip interface.
The mostly horizontal part that goes under the tractor is what has to line up with the tractor frame and obviously has to be tractor frame specific - although not brand name specific (-:
EDIT:
There might be sub frame differences for the same tractor with vs without a loader, or with particular different loaders, so watch out for that.
Again, this might take a bit of research - who makes which loader for JD ?, who else do they make it for ?, which hoe sub frame agrees with that ?, etc.
