backhoes vs mini excavators

Wow that is cheap,3500 is even way below wholesale !!!!,If anybodys interested I have Mazzotti backhoes in stock with pump and tank kit @ 4400 for 8',4850 for the 9 footer,I Also a new 2002 mini excavator by Thomas @ 13500. www.tractorloft.com sorry about the plug but I couldnt resist

I had Woods 7500 hoe and traded it and $1500 for Woods 9000 hoe.
Best move I have made I put it on Deere 250 SSL it
digs pretty good but not as fast as my 710B.

Hmmm,,,150X250 pond, that's almost an acre. Nothing against Magnatracs, but contemplate for a moment the task of emptying a dump truck with a thimble. That's what it's gonna be like building that size pond with a Magnatrac.

And if you've got any clay or rocks in the soil, once you get down a few feet and you're below the surface moisture, that Magnatrac's gonna bounce a jig trying to get enuff purchase to take a bite, and that dirt that's been undistrubed since time began is just gonna smirk.

BTDT, was going to build an two acre pond with a 8k lb dozer. Gave up, went and bought a 30k lb dozer. Still felt like I was using a thimble, but at least I could see progress at the end of the day, and eventually got it done.

Donny - any additional info you can give me on your backhoe? PLEASE post or email me with what tractor you use, how this backhoe has performed, any issues, etc. I found a JD4600 that has one and will have to act fast if I want it and since it is about 1,000 miles away, I need to know as much as possible as quickly as possible. Thanks.
