Yep, as in anything else, it's a subjective thing. I don't know of ANY tractor that will always do what every person would want it to. That's why it's so important to really try out a tractor, not just drive it around the lot. Pull something, move some dirt, try it with a boxblade or rearblade or whatever implements one can. I worked mine out at the dealer with the loader and a brush mower when I tried it out and knew it would be what I needed. It has, thus far, exceeded my expectations.
As to the time it's taking to get a tractor delivered, I remember a fairly recent post where a man wanted to buy a JD tractor, and there were three on the lot that had been sold 3 MONTHS in advance of his purchase. He was going to wait a long time to get one. I read all the time where someone orders X tractor and waits a month. So it's not unusual in all the brands. John

Hi,
I can imagine the frustration you are feeling right now, giving a stranger a ton of money... not being able to contact people...waiting waiting waiting. It might apear that the dealer is backpedeling or doesn't want to tell you the truth. NOT SO!
Ken's is one of KIOTI'S oldest dealers, he got that way by being a straight shooter. Judging from experience I'm sure he calls down there often and reports what he is told. You don't have to worry at all about your dealer.
Unfortunately Kioti's move which was scheduled for early this year and the new computer system was scheduled to be done in December, have been bumped and bumped by their contractors. It is a situation that is out of the control of the parties involved. They are at a point where they are turning the corner and getting back to their old reliable selves again.
I am a dealer and I'm going through the same thing...WE ARE THE FACE OF KIOTI and take most of the heat. I have faith that your dealer will get you up and running as soon as possible. He doesn't make a cent until you drive away on your new tractor.
By the way... Stay with the DK55, It is AWESOME.
Good Luck,
KiotiDave

I spoke with my dealer yesterday, telling him how sorry I am that the average customer will think it's his fault that there aren't many tractors on the lot. I've read the comment here, about certain Kioti dealers, that it appears they can't afford to order tractors. It's more that they can't get them right now, or they can't get the tires. Things will turn around. John

despite my complaining on this thread, i do - and will continue to - stand by my dealer. one of the decisions to purchase Kioti (over the 'bota) was that neighbors and colleagues have purchased tractors from him. absolutely no one had anything negative to say about kioti, or the dealer. only praise.

and as the story goes - i was headed to the 'bota dealer, stopped at the kioti dealer to drive one - then never made it back to the kubota dealer.

i have spoken with the factory today - they returned my calls and are looking into a resolution. (here's a simple resolution: SHIP IT)

i should mention that part of my frustration is coming from something kioti has no control over:

i haven't had a vacation in nearly 4 years. my vacation was established to coincide with taking ownership of the tractor - what better way relieve stress than taking a vacation sitting in the seat of my new tractor.. fortunately i can reschedule my vacation - all i need is someone to tell me when i can expect delivery.

i have confidence in my decision to buy the DK55c - and will hopefully retain this confidence long enough to prevent me from going back to the 'bota dealer.

Well, I got a call from my dealer this afternoon. He will have the tractors on his lot Thursday. So, barring any major problems, I will have my LK3054XS either Friday afternoon or Saturday morning! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I should also mention that this is right in line with what he originally told me regarding the delivery time. Kudos to Kioti and my dealer.

Ken - I asked my dealer about why 4 tractors made a full load, blah, blah, blah, and he told me that he had my tractor, two DK55's and a DK65 coming. I think that pretty much explains it in my mind. Also, he does arrange his own shipping. His brother in law owns a trucking company and does all the shipping for him.

Ordered it on 6/19. At that time, the dealer told me about 2 weeks, and he is right on schedule. I sure as heck hope that you can get something nailed down on delivery of yours quickly.

i promise - this is my LAST rant on this thread /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

just got a call from Kioti - the DK55c should be on a trailer this week and headed north. with some luck, i should be in the seat in another 1.5 weeks.. it's a long way to the north country!

for those turned off by the negative comments i've made concerning this topic:

kioti has growing pains, but the transition to a new facility is a sure sign that they're here to stay - moreover - despite the chaos of the move .. reps from the factory returned my calls, and were incredibly curteous and accommodating. don't let my impatience sway your opinion of this tractor.. or the company as a whole.

thx for listening everyone - this forum is everything i hoped it would be - a great source of information and commaderie. i promise to have pics (and the associated website) posted shortly.

You sound like me with scheduling your vacation to co-inside with your tractor delivery. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I had some tire problems with mine, but was sorted out and Kioti gave me a sunshade!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I will remember that!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
