The main problem I see is my tractor does not have a cab or even roof to protect the screen from the elements

I installed a cheap 2 camera wired system on my cabbed tractor a few years ago. It works well, and the 7" screen is clear under almost all lighting conditions. I went with the wired system because everything gets powered through one connection from the screen, so I just made one power connection at the screen and ran the video cables to the camera positions.

I guess you could use a cover for the monitor when it is not in use.
It might be time to think about a roof?

I use a portable camera system powered by cordless tool batteries with magnets to mount the cameras. There is no wiring or mounting headaches to deal with and the cameras can be placed anywhere. The system is easily removed so using it on an open station tractor is no problem.

The cameras can be placed on the tractor, the implement or even on the ground to get the best viewing angle.
