Well getting there. Shed work has to be balanced against several other things including getting my wife's bathroom in Sacramento remodelled, while she is working out of the country. Coming back home to a non-functioning bathroom would be a Very Bad Thing.

Cleared away a piece of forest behind the workshop and got footings in. In the coming week should get joists, floor and walls up. It is only 10x12 but still a lot of work.

Photos show clearing trees and brush, footings, truck loaded with lumber for next steps. Going back to the coast tomorrow. After next week have to spend 2 weeks in Wyoming with second daughter and new baby. So shed work and everything else will stop for a while.

Well it stayed dry for a few days, and I got the beams, joists, and floor done. Then I went to Wyoming for two weeks with my daughter. When I got back it rained on the north coast for two weeks. Still raining up until today. Really heavy late season rain. I am not sure it is done raining either.

Now I am in Sacramento working on my wife's bathroom and will be for another week.

A good thing I am retired, I would not have time to work a job.

Next trip to the coast will be in a week. I plan to take materials to double up the floor sheathing and frame the walls and roof. If the rain stops by then.

Running now on two portables.

Power system has been somewhat better recently, but if a few raindfrops gang up together, who knows it if will last or not.

Our power went out last weekend because of some big straight line winds that came through, it was out for 8 + hours...

I didn't bother with a generator for the first four hours, instead I listened to the radio and read, then went out for supper. I could have cooked something here, but I didn't want to add any heat in the house.

Once I came home, I read for a while, and then decided to start up my Honda inverter generator, and plugged in the sump pump and fridge... Once it started to roll up on 9pm, I decided I wanted to watch "Live PD", so I plugged in the Sat TV box and the TV, and sat here and watched TV until the power came back on at 11:45pm... lol

SO, the generator ran about 4 hours total and used less than two quarts of E0 fuel... I LOVE my little Honda EG2800i!
