Bad fuel

Filled my 6 gal can on my way to the farm for the weekend . big mistake Spent 4 hrs draining the tank and filters getting new fuel and getting running again. I called the station and was told ,yea we have been getting a lot of complaints, We think they put the wrong fuel in the tank. I asked why are you still selling it . She said i would have to call corporate that they could not help me. The fuel smelled like diesel seemed thinner. Guess i will be buying elsewhere from now on.

Hopefully it was only stove Oil. How did it affect the running of the engine? Glad you got it figured out. Dutchy

When i arrived at the farm Tractor ran fine until i put the new fuel in , After about 20 minutes it quit running and the the ordeal begun. Had to drain the tank and both filters , went to a different station and got farm diesel, Put it in pumped up the pressure , It fired up and ranThe rest of saturday and 4 hrs on sunday. Seems to be fine,
