Hopefully Chainsaw will be needing a shed/barn this coming spring to house his Truck , Travel Trailer , & NEW Tractor. He knows I'm just a phone call away!

Attached is pic of Elec. Service conduit in ditch about to be covered up!

If I measured right - the Hydrant will be attached to a post used to support the drive thru shed (which is not there just yet) for support. If I take out the hydrant in an errant tractor move I'll probably take the post too, so I'll be careful. The six inch PVC pipes you see sticking up with caps house 1 each shutoff valves. As Barn is not heated thought was to cut off water supply to sink in barn during the cold months. One valve is to shut off water inside the barn, other valve is to open allowing the water inside pipe to drain below frost line. All this off & the outside frostproff hydrant still has water supply. Just inside barn wall is stub up for sink water supply & drain.

WOW I gotta hole in my wall. Had a 6x6 post decide to warp/twist/bow. One post bad out of 20 ain't bad I suppose. This is another nice thing about the PermaColumns. Just unbolt the offending post and replace. New one going in today.

Thoose perma columns seem to be a nice do-it-once-right solution. On the new column, a teensy bit oversize on the holes could throw the whole column out of plumb. Seems like it might be challenging to get it perfect like it was. Maybe faster it to the horizontal wood and then drill the column for bolts.
