Barn Restoration

   / Barn Restoration #31
I am back, Well the barn I was going to start on had to be put on back burner. One of the other barns started to deteriorate to fast and I did not think it would make it through the winter. So here are a couple of photos of the before (I can't believe I don't have many of the before without other things in the way). In any event, this barn is pre 1900 with middle open for access for hay on upper level and live stock on main. Horizontal siding and basically sitting on grade on the up hill side. This end the sill has totally rotted out and settled at the corners 6-8 inches. The center (ridgeline) is pretty good and I will hold this as the new elevation. South end where the hay loader is settle about 2 inches. More to come as I am having it done by a local guy. Now I need some advice. I am trying to upload photos and they keep coming turned left of upside down. Help!

I find this website to be a horror story for posting pictures!
I have photos of two Ford tractor rehabilitations that I would like to post, but find it impossible to do so.
I am an old guy, so THAT is a big part of the problem.
I can do just fine with E-Bay photo postings though.

The easiest way to learn is get any 7 year old in the neighborhood and have him show you how.
They are born with different DNA, and have the knowledge from birth.

thanks Lynn,

Well that end of the barn near the other barn (north side) started to blow out at the corner. It moved about a foot and dropped down about 3 inches in the last 6 months. Hence the reason to start. This next set of photos is the beginning.

We started cutting out the old floor (reusing somewhere) as we want a drive through for equipment. My helper little Phillip in the north end after it was cleaned out. Sill is on the way out. We are saving what we can,but alot is very rotted. Sorry these photos are tilted.

I think the problem with your pics is they are too big. TBN has a maximum size and sometimes will tilt the pics if they are over the max size?? Might try getting them under 1mb before trying to attach them?
