Boy did this thread get crazy or what. I for one am thankful for all the info that I have gotten from this forum. I bought my tractor from a roadside dealer and have a fine tractor but my support for repairs have been people that are on this board. I have dealt with Wayne at LMTC and find that my dealings with him have been professioal and pleasent. This as we all know is not the norm when dealing with most businesses nowdays. If someone bothers you on this page put him on your ignore list and move on. Once again thanks to all the people that help out on this forum. This forum is the reason that I own a great little tractor today.
Wayne don't leave us. big dan

Kenmac, Back on topic, he can't find the quality and quanity he wants since the VC guys are buying them up. He has NO connection to them.

Gary, there's more to it than that. This is a whole community with participants in various roles. Mark's list of dealers, Mark himself, and several others provide essential support in the form of advice here, to keep these tractors in service. Aaron comments when he has time but his big contribution to the community is his broad stock of parts. Enthusiastic users like you and me encourage new users by showing these 20-30 year old machines are just as usable as the more expensive alternatives. All these community roles are essential to keeping this brand alive.

Wayne (LMTC) can be hotheaded whenever somebody (me, mostly!) presses his button. So what? He's the one who faces the frustration of telling the Ebay winner that a purported 'Factory Rebuilt' Yanmar doesn't have a free nationwide warranty no matter what the auction said. I imagine he's been screamed at a few times when he explained this to a potential customer. That would make me hot too.

Wayne, calm down. Of course we support you. And sorry if my posts seem to promote a type of business you can't stand. My intention in posting was to share my observation so we all know what's going on. As I replied to kenmac, there may really be some competition to buy the better tractors in Japan. I think the local firm that folded lost their dealers from their internal quality control problems. The smaller subsequent one is determined to not repeat that error.

This firm I've described is the only place I've ever seen a Yanmar other than my own, in the past four four years. There simply aren't any others around here. You (Wayne) are 2500 miles east of me so it's not practical to stop by! The one legitimate Yanmar shop I was aware of in California moved on to selling Mahindras. I'm glad to see him expand his opportunities but now there's nobody within reasonable transport distance. He is a half day's drive north of me so I never visited him. (and Ernie is another 7 hours north of that). This local firm whatever their quality, has the local Yanmar market to themself. So we might as well recognise they exist.

Again, Wayne, calm down. We need you. And I'll try to not rile you! :D

Why do you assume that I am hotheaded and not calm simply because I post a contrary opinion or information? Do you assume that a person cannot engage in disagreement, or even conflict of opinion while remaining calm? Your first post did not bother me whatsoever....it simply provided a good background with which to make a point. I made the point, and then was attacked by gary-what's-his-name, and responded to that with what I view as appropriate indignation. That doesn't mean I'm not calm. Your repeated instructions to me to calm down demean my other posts in this thread, implying that they are the result of not being calm, rather than the result of clear-headed intention. Even as I type this I doubt my blood pressure is up two points. If there is a person here reacting on feeling rather than thought, it certainly isn't me. No, I am not saying it is you...it may be no one, I don't know....but it isn't me.

Your comment about another business' big contribution seems to imply others do not have this "broad stock of parts". What parts have you found them to have that we do not have in our parts catalog?

I'm more referring to other post just seems he's doing less and less helping and more and more selling.

These are examples were he clearly try's to take business from hoye the forum sponsor. There are hard cost to running a forum like this. Server space employees etc. mark what will end up happening is the owner will have to put
a ban on all non sponsor selling as other forums have done. Or risk losing advertisers. I personally like reading from all the different suppliers And most don't undercut the sponsors.

This is what I'm responding to.
if more regular posters agree with you than support me, I'll walk.....for at least 4 months.
and I'm saying don't do it. We don't want to see you disappear in response to anything anyone said. Your blue paragraph reads like a challenge, to me, and I'm saying please don't bother. That's all.

I'm aware the parts are available through several dealers. (and if you have unique stuff I want to be the first to know!) I've simply found the Hoye online parts diagrams convenient so I've used them in the past. And they are paying part of the bill to keep this circus online. I presume you both provide an equal excellent level of service.

I know Bill has no connection to the V.N. tactor folkes. I just didn't know that the V.N. folkes were now buying the good tractors as well as the junk

Gary,
I think you need to back off and take a deep breath. I don't think anyone on this forum, except you, thinks LMTC is trying to steal business but is trying to help someone with problems. I have in the past suggested someone contact Fredricks because I live about 30 miles from them and deal with them a lot. I have also bought from Hoye. I guess you would probably say I'm trying to steer business away from Hoye when I suggest someone contact another dealer.

Your credibility has gone to zero as far as I'm concerned.

Since you like to just tell it like it is, I will too. I think you are just trolling trying to start a fight!!!!!!!!

As far as I'm concerned trying to take business from a sponsor is dirty business.
I don't need credibility. I can care less want some old fogies think of me on this forum Mod's If you don't like me Please ban me. I've never been banned from a forum I'd like to be banned from this one.
