Ford issuing RECALL for EVs as they combust in fire like the old Pintos of the 70s. 🤪

So as a COVER UP for FORD'S blunder in the EV realm, they are axing 8,000 people from the company. This would mostly be the salary ranks as the hourly are union. This would put Ford in a bind going forwards with lost of special engineering skills and experience with the Ford methods. This is a huge number of jobs lost. Ford is cutting their own throat for the future EV vehicles as talent is kicked to the curb.

The only realistic way Ford can survive with the talent lost, is to OFFSHORE this engineering to a huge level.

This could help pave the way for Tesla.
hahahaha, we are all going to be riding in Disney People Movers. I recall them saying this is the way of the future. It will only haul a few people and a carry on bag. Anything else, you would need a delivery service to do the bigger stuff.

The People Mower Car project has been way long in the making.
We rode them at the amusement park. See the prototype car to the right. It's a full EV convertible.

LOOK MA, no hands as there is no steering wheel. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Your freedom to travel will now be controlled to where the general public is allowed. No freedom to venture off the beaten path.
You will be BORG and you will be assimilated. All your base belongs to us.

Well, in the city this type of peoplemovers will be very nice, people don't have cars as there are no parking spaces, and space is so limited that it maks no sense to have it used on privat cars used a few hours a week. But nobody is forced to live in the inner city.

The article start with Norway, here EV are dominat with 65 procent, no problem wit that.

And why should Europe return to ICE when most of it don't produce oil and gas them selves? Oil and gas are nothing that makes sense to be dependent on.
All well and good until your usage exceeds your baseload capacity and then what? You are just as dependent on the electrons as you are on fossil fuel. People like you tend to not look any farther than the receptacle cord that you charge with. Bottom line is that power don't come from the tooth fairy, far from it.

And it's more flexible than this thing

Few countries have oil and gas, but all countries can produce electricity in some form, hydro, solar, nuclear, coal, wind etc so EV makes sense in the long run.

We are of course energi dependent, but EV might not be that problematic to charge, it's common to use smart charging that can spread the load and make it easier for the grid.

The issue is, is who (what country) you are dependent on. If that country 'cuts you off' and that is a real possibility, you will immediately revert to the stone age. In this country we aren't 'dependent on any other country for energy', despite what the current administration would like people to believe. Germany has already come to that realization. Merkel led Germany down the path of green energy but the Germans are now coming to the realization that green energy (wind and solar) may provide assistance but isn't the answer to sufficient base load capacity. Of course Germany is much more industrialized than Norway is Industrial users consume a lot more power than residential or farm users do.

Better get your firewood stash built up and invest in some candles because I have a bad feeling that the country you are so heavily dependent on will, at some point, cut you off and then what? Energy is a heck of a political lever and one that can bring any country to it's economic knees, real quickly.

I disagree but you, like me, is entitled to our opinions. There will never be any EV on this farm in my lifetime and that includes the insanely priced EV farm tractors with their limited duty cycle and their suffocating initial cost.
