Its hard to find 8 volt chargers from reliable, well-known manufacturers. The only one I've found from a "big name" manufacturer is a BatteryTender 8V, 1.25 Amp charger/maintainer. Battery Tender is not my first choice of manufacturers, since they are neither temperature compensated nor do they have a desulfation feature. However, they do have a reputation for making reliable units that won't cook your battery by overcharging even if left on for extended periods (and if you KEEP your batteries fully charged, desulfation is far less of a concern.)

I buy batteries using the credit card. That way, they are already charged.

Thats my point. Even IF I've bought some fake stuff, its All been good so far. Brakes last 60-100000 miles, spark plugs the same, coils for my f150 have well over 100000 miles on them now. The ONLY times that I've had trouble is when I receive the wrong part, that's happened twice in 10 years. And I just returned them for the right stuff. Fake or real, I've had very good luck. And since parts cost me ⅓ to ¼
