Battery life for BX series

Not sure how they know but batteries know when you brag that you haven't had to replace them. I had a 2001 F150 that this spring I drove to my father's house and bragged how I hadn't even put a new battery in it at 129000 miles. Dog gone it - when I got in to drive home the battery was dead (it hadn't been started in some time before driving it to his house and started right up) so the only conclusion to draw is that they know when they have been bragged about and lose everything right after that! Don't brag about your battery and it will last forever!!

Actually only 8yrs old.

Im gonna start the old John Deere tomorrow. Got some posts to pound.

I still have the OEM in my BX22, ~8-9 yrs IIRC

The old John Deere started right up on the 8yr old BX1500 battery. We only use the JD 8 or 10 times a year and the battery is only charged by its use.
