You can do that with regular selectable tractor loads like lights or glow plugs or starter and using a cheap Digital VOM on a sensitive scale to measure the V dropped at the connector/connection.And when connected different ways with a little thought, a cheap 100 amp carbon pile load tester is a great tool for testing battery cables and ground connections that may be hard to access.
