I have one of the Sears Power Sharp saws... it was great for a quick retouch with the Oregon Barracuda Chain...

Couldn't get that chain anymore as it was too aggressive which meant the Power Sharp no longer worked...

I have a basic idea of the metric system. The problem is I can't eyeball a metric bolt and tell what's size it is or guesstimate the length of a log in centimeters, etc.
That's exactly my problem, now we'd make a great team working on tractor,,,,,,,,,,,what size mm bolt you'd say that was...................somewheres around 3/4", ok I'll grab the mm 15 16 17 18 19 19-1/2................here you go catch.

I shortened the bar in a photo editor, to about 22mm. :)

And I just noticed that the n't fell off the would in my post, so I put it back.

Bruce

Oh guess I should kept on reading, neat trick...I like it.

My wife has a 40v ryobi chainsaw with a 14" bar. She loves it. 5'3" and 65 yr - she loves not waiting on me to cut something for her. She has a 40v weed wacker as well. they share batteries. This spring she might get the 40v ryobi trimmer as well.
The chainsaw is not a 266 husky - but it starts easier and is lighter!

That saw might be neat for gouging. It would make it much easier to hold in place.

I'm thinking of buying the Stihl Battery Pole Saw...

My brother has the Stihl Charger and 300 series batteries for his Stihl Battery Saw available to use.

I need a pole saw seldom but I do need it about one a year... just thinking not having another small gas engine and having to deal with ethanol fuel...

As tcreely said... my sister in law is doing lots of things that would wait on my brother now that they have the Stihl Battery Chain Saw... he said that alone made it a wise choice...

Can't comment on batter life but Stihl claims 80%+ capacity after 500 charge cycles.

I actually find the Oregon 40 Volt pole saw great for trimming on the ground too. You don't have to bend as much and don't get into the hawthornes and burdocs.

A friend just got the 40 volt leaf blower and loves it. I have my Makita 4 stroke (which I love) otherwise I wouldn't think twice about getting the blower.
