Anybody out there ever build a beach cleaner. Ive searched all over this site and the internet with no luck. The commercial tow behinds are really pricey and thought maybe one of you guys have come up with a cheaper tow behind solution...............thanks

This really depends on your circumstances and what you are cleaning off your beach, and how much beach you have to clean.
I owned a reasonably large swimming lake and recreation park for about 20 years. Beach maintenance was one of my major expenses.
There are a few labor saving methods and a few equipment saving methods but you will either have to have expensive dedicated equipment OR a lot of labor force to apply.

Chickenman on here built a Cherrington type screener. They work great I think Biloxi had 3 or 4 to clean their beaches till the big storm took out the beaches. Also you might want to look at a Chicken house keeper. They are built similar but have a dump bed o nthe back. They pick up the clumps and littler and sift out the crap and leave the fines and clean litter. Ive see nthem used for beach cleaning to.

Long time ago, I was in charge of landscaping for a rather large condo. complex on Longboat Key. (Near Sarasota Fla.)

First thing I did every day was use a a tractor pulling a 3ph rake, and run it up an down the beach. Usually sun was just rising, and things were calm. Nice way to start a day.

Anyway the rake cleaned and groomed the beach just fine. I carried a bag, and picked up the occasional piece of litter/trash. If there was much "stuff", (usually sea weed), I would just make piles and pick up after all done. Worked fine.

Thanks Maine for your reply. I got small round rocks and weed trash that wash up on my beach on lake Huron. I was wanting to build a beach cleaner this winter as the objects need to be picked up.

Thanks to Maine. It seems Chickenman is quite an engineer, fabricator.........thanks again.
