I worked on the only "breakage" I've had in a long time, yesterday... lol

The T-handle that holds a log post on my mill got broken off, leaving the end of it in a bolt hole. It's an old break that wasn't taken care of long ago, as I don't use that log post often. But, I'm about to, as I'm changing some things around on my mill.

Anyway, here's what I used to help get it out, and I have to say, if you never have used any "Tap Magic", you need to get some! It's absolutely the best tapping/drilling fluid I've ever used!

Anyway, time to drill a hole in that broken off part,

And tap an "easy out" into the hole,

and turn the easy out "out" with a wrench,

AND here's what it looks like, all "fixed",

Once I get done making some changes on the mill, i'll be up and running it, as I need to mill out some "battens" for an unfinished board and batten "siding" project I have going on...

Rob, Looks like a good fix. Maybe you can show some of that board and batten you're working on.

That where I am on my mill, I need to make log dogs and stops.But I couldn't resist making some sawdust.

Been there done that, been planning a mill build for a few years now. One day, maybe

I've been planning to build a mill and accumulating materials for around 30 years. I hope to get it done in time to saw the lumber for my coffin.

Made a couple extra log posts for my mill so here's a pic. to give you an alternative idea.

I think it's 1.25" tubing. It can be flipped around to still hold when sawing down to 1" material.

Billrog, I'd like to see the other dogs the, the ones that tighten to the log.
