No probably about it. If you have a loader on a 790 and plan on picking anything up with it you need some sort of an implement or weight on the back.
Plan "B" would be to wear your seatbelt WITHOUT the weight because you are likely going to have an eventful experience when the loader is full.

Good looking rig!

Of course I'm a little biased since I have the grandfather to the 3005, my 770. I am jealous of the 300 Loader though. I wish mine had a bit more lifting power and height.

You have me thinking that I should trade in for the 3005!

Just took delivery of my JD 3005 at 0700 this morning. Already 2.5 hours work on it today. It's great so far!

I Do have a quick question to you or anyone else who may have posted information on a "clutch clamp". The salesperson explained why the need for one but had no clue if one was stowed on the tractor. I remember reading about someone finding theirs "hidden" on the tractor somewhere. I have looked all over this thing and do not find one. Have you or anyone else found such a clamp?

Mine was hidden in the battery compartment. Not sure if that is normal or just an accident. My salesman didn't know what it was or why you would use such a thing. I don't lock my clutch down unless I'm not going to use the tractor for a while (i.e. almost never use it). It's in the toolbox now.
