Bench Grinder - Flexible Shaft

Want to put a flexible shaft on my bench grinder for the purpose of attaching 4 inch to 8 inch cotton,sisal,muslin polishing pads. Having no luck in finding. Can anybody here help - please!

Don't suggest Foredom or Dremel, they are all too small. Particulars are below
Bench Grinder with a threaded arbor, 1/2 inch x 20 threads per inch, Right Hand threads, 1/2 H.P. , 3580 RPM.

I would like a 48" to 52" flex shaft to attach to this grinder. I need to attach 4" - 8" cotton , sisal, buffing wheels to output end. Buffing wheels will have 1/2 inch hole for attaching to flex shaft. Also would like to have a chuck or collett for using smaller mandrel buffs with a 1/4 inch mandrel.

This is what I use for buffing.Maybe you can do the same. I removed the 1/2" nut and replaced it with a chuck. Works great.All I did was to cut a hole in the out board guard.

Geeze, you should have posted earlier. A month ago, I tossed a 6' flex shaft that my dad used (very little). I've kept it hanging in the garage for 10 years--and finally decided it wasn't worth keeping...............

Isn't that the way it always goes /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. Wife tells me that I'm a pack rat. But every time I get rid of something, the above statement holds true. Gerard
