ran over some boards my customer layed down so I wouldn't sink in the mud too deep- one of them jambed against the valve stem on the rear wheel- now I have a leak where I need to inflate the tire every day - do I need to replace the tire /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif or just have it repaired- it holds air enough to work for the day - but overnight I need to fill it up the next morning?

Tubeless tire or tube type? Hard to answer your question without seeing it, but if it's tubeless you probably just need a new valve stem installed and if it's a tube type, you probably need a new tube. Either way you shouldn't need a tire.

As Bird commented, more than likely no tire needed. Valve stem is cheap. Tube is around $25. Then of course labor if you have to take it somewhere. If they are R-4 tires, good chance they are tubeless. Many R-1 tires are tubeless now but many still require tubes. It depends on what you have.

I'm assuming you have standard Titan tires through Kioti on your DK35, and unless you had a tube put in and loaded the tire with fluid, it should be tubeless and you will only need to replace that valve stem. I think you have the rubber one on that tire and metal ones on the front? If you have a backhoe, you can lift the rear with the stabilizers to work on the tire, but put stands under it too.

Have the tires that came with the tractor. valve stems are metal. guess tomorrow will be a good day to work on the tractor- check ignition switch problem & get tire fixed- too muddy here to work- trenching in someones backyard- would turn the place into a big mud pit. thanks for all your help

I never can remember which models have the mix like mine, metal front, and rubber back. Makes no sense why rubbers were used at all. I'm VERY lucky not to have destroyed my valve stems as of yet with all the timber work in the wood I've been doing.

You might want to have a welder to weld some valve stem guards around your stems. Just a circle of metal with the stem in the middle, or sometimes just a half circle protecting the most vulnerable part.

My B2710 Kubota was just the opposite, and I tore one of the front rubber ones right out of the wheel one day in some brush.

Yeah Bird, I hear you. I really can't believe I haven't done the same thing. I get out there in those woods, and drive over all kinds of stuff, sometimes piles of it, and am amazed those stems are still in. Now as to putting holes in the tires? That's a different story. I had three punctures in about the first two weeks!
Good think I always keep plugs in the little sandwich keeper sized toolbox.

My rims, for R-4s on the CK30hst, already have those steel guards on them. Maybe it depends on who makes the rims for Kioti.
