I have a Woods quick hitch. It works with my snowblower, back blade, tiller, middle-buster, brushbull cutter.... I never take it off. BEST thing I own...

I assume all your implements are made by Woods? I'm looking into getting the Woods quick hitch myself, since I have all Woods implements.

My snowblower is not woods. My quick hitch is the SAME as a Speeco, Agco...etc... They are "re stickered" so to speak. There 'ain't nothing better than backing up to your back blade and NEVER leaving the seat. My opinion....

Could you go into details why it did not work?? I'm thinking about Pat's but if it doesn't work on everything... forget it.

I'm curious too...my Pat's system worked on everything...then I gave it away when I traded off my 790.I'm not sure if it would work on my Befco RFM though (rather then pins bolted to the frame, the Befco uses a clevis design...I'll have to get a picture).

You will eventually be disappointed in the frame-type quick hitches.

I haven't been disappointed in my iMatch in 6 years...When will it happen?

I had a problem when putting an old Dearborn Plow onto my Pat's equiped 790 tractor over a year ago.

IRRC....the plows pins were extremely short and I had some slight interference issues with the pins that attach the Pat's to the tractors three point. I got it on and plowed with it...but in the process actually broke the 7/8" diameter pin (with a cross-hole) that protrudes from the Pat's on the inside of my Pat's....due to the plow impinging on same. (I broke the pin at the cross-hole) This did not disable the Pats hitch....but made it difficult to maintain the correct "spread' when hooking up my implements.

I called Pat's....they told me they had never heard of such an issue before...and I was the only one to break a pin like this....and replaced the pin for free. (I had planned to pay for the pin.....as I had gone ahead knowing I may have a problem......against my better judgment).

I replaced the pin and have have had NO problems hooking up to any other implement....and don't foresee other issues. IF I were to hook up that plow again, I would remove my Pats. But I think it's a "fluke-fit" issue that caused the interference.

When I sold my 790.....I took my Pat's along. :D I put a coat of paint on 'em and installed them on my 3320. They are the "real deal" for me.

Yeah....well your not "normal". :laughing::laughing:

Seriously, if you have lots of old implements or don't want to change the 3 point dimensions on older implements....then the Pat's are for you. :)

Yes I know:thumbsup:

I have modified quite a few things to fit the iMatch. It's not that hard and everytime I hook one of them up I am glad i took the time to do it.

The post wasn't directed to you although you chose to reply to it as if it was.

There are a few people out there that would like to be able to hook up everything they come across - even implements shared by or with a neighbor.

Not all folks have the time, skill, desire, or brand loyalty to work over all, or most, of their equipment to 1/2" tolerances.

Then there is the issue of those of us who have both Cat 1 and Cat 2 attachments that share among tractors.

Just one more thing. Some of the top link hook ups on an implement have a support just under the pin that prevents hook-type quick hitch top links from attaching from below.

Is there any way you could maybe post pics of an example or two of the things you had to modify? I'm just curious to see what had to be done to make it work out. Or if you have already posted pics maybe a link? Thanks!

I gotta agree that if I had started with a genuine JD IMatch....I might have been a happy camper. I started with an imported HF Quick Hitch.....and to me it was waaay too many problems for the possible end result. Not having any room on the top hook was simply poor engineering, PITA, hap-hazzard, ill-thought, poorly-planned, $%$^&$$#, POS workmanship. (what did I forget?) ;)

And Kenny....my wife tells me that "normal" is just a setting on the washing machine.:thumbsup:
