I've seen some of the New Hollands, and I'm sure they're others, where the three point lift links are "telescoping adjustable" enabling you to hook up the lower arms without too much fuss. Too bad this wasn't an industry standard.

For the person who can afford to go buy only equipment trained to work with their quick hitch system they do not need Pat's Quick Hitch.

Some weeks I'm so broke, I can't afford toilet paper....:)

The curved part (top) of the Pat's catches the box before engaging with the pin.

The kioti Dk series all have these. Can't cost that much more and I agree, should be standard on all 3 pt systems. The other alternative is like on the big tractors that have an open C style 3 pt link just like the pats system. The closed, non telescoping set ups are a poor design unless you enjoy equipment wrestling.

My smaller tractor does not have these, and I thought that it would be no big deal to get them. Well I was wrong, I am looking at between $400 and $800 depending on where you look. :shocked:I have been able to wrestle my implements just fine so far, all I have to do is think about what it would cost to get a set. I probably should consider some sort of quick hitch though.

HOLY SMOKE! THAT'S A LOT OF $$$!!!
My larger Olivers have the PT hitch where the bottom lift links just "snap" on the lower links of the implement... Kinda like a Pat's , but a lot better... but you STILL have to get off the tractor to hook up the top link. You know the old saying about having cake and eating it too???

For most of the Deere tractors telescopic links are either included or an option costing about $350. I have them on my 4520 but seldom use them and will likely swap these over to the backhoe until I buy another IMatch.

I can't get a quick hitch, I already got all my PTO shafts trimmed to fit the normal hitch.

Steve, would you be able to get me the tractor number that they are only $350? Or would you want to sell yours? The Deere dealer was who gave me the $800+ price. My guess is that the $350 is the upgrade price, not the price to get them from scratch. :confused3:

Brian,
When I ordered my 4520 last year the telescopic option was $335, I ordered it. The options come in boxed up, I removed the existing arms and replaced with the new telescopic arms, so I have both sets. You can order these as field add ons for this price as I understand, you may need to consult a different Deere dealer, sounds like the one you are talking to is a little greedy.

Steve, thanks, I will jump on those for that price. My local Deere dealer is very wishy-washy. Back when I was looking for my 75hp tractor, they were sky high and would not deal. I ended up buying my Land Pride rear blade from them and they were the best price that I could find.

Thanks again
