He who dies with the most toys... still dies; but he may have more fun than the guy with less toys, hehe.

Or did he just spend more time working and not have time to play?:D

Depends on who the "He" is I suppose. Hopefully "he" worked hard long enough that he was able to play for a long time before dying with all those toys. At least that is what I am hoping to do.

We are God fearing

Living in the "Bible belt south", my wife and I got that quote a lot from some of the churches we visited to see which church felt "right".

What I could never figure out is why someone would be afraid of a God who loves you as his child, and you try your best for what's in your heart to follow His word?

Make no bones about it though, I'm a sinner (Mathew 7:5 comes to mind right off the bat):D

He could always move to a state that allows him to bring a gun to work ( in his vehicle ).

A gun is no good if you need one, and it's not on you.

Funny, my old company had a "no guns" policy. You should of seen the amount of AR's/AK's field stripped and being cleaned on some of the desks after hours by numerous people.

Proverbs 1:7 is one of many answers to your question.

The apple was eaten. Our God knew it would happen.

Keep in mind, there is no man who does not sin.

Could be argued that the true Christian does not need a gun, nor would want a gun. Yet another reason why I'm a sinner.

That said, nice thing now is that we don't jail those men of science who say the earth isn't the center of the universe.

Dang.. pointing a shotgun at a kid because you think he scratched your car!!! Those guys needed to be in jail! That's improper display of a gun if i ever heard of one.!

soundguy

Wanna hear the kicker? The guy tells me to get the h*** out of there, then hops in his car and leaves burning rubber. The parking lot was full. Probably 15 cars. As I got in my friend's car to drive us home, two kids from school come walking up and say they saw the whole thing from across the lot. They said as soon as we got out of our car and went up to the order window, the driver got out of the car, went to the trunk, got out the shotgun and handed it to the guy in the passenger seat. Now, wouldn't it have been nice if the chicken poop kids had come up to the window and told us not to go back to the car? Hmm?

I'm not going to read all of it. I'll simply make a few points.

One, if you have to shoot, shoot until the threat is no longer a threat. I.e. don't fire 1-2 and stop if the person hasn't dropped their weapon or left. Shoot until they no longer have the ability to harm you.

Two: Overpenetration. I've seen various sources indicate police departments are adopting M4 type weapons due to less overpenetration in homes, etc than even various service pistol rounds. Sounds good to me.

Three: At household distances, the pattern of the shotgun is still going to be small, so you'll still have to aim.

Four: One problem with the shotgun: recoil, potentially making subsequent shots take longer than the AR15 type platform. As far as I'm concerned it's folly to count on one shot from any handheld firearm being "enough". Getting sights back on target quickly could be important.

A sidearm is great, to have with you. If you know there's going to be a fight or you plan to defend a position, why handicap yourself with only a pistol? A pistol is a compromise between effectiveness and portability. A long gun is more effective, whether it's a rifle, shotgun, submachine gun or whatever you've got availible.

All that having been said, an AR15 is what I keep as my "nightstand" gun, since my room makes an excellent defensive position. Anyone coming through that door is in a world of hurt.
