Yeah, I was trying to get a price on parts. I filled out the form, waited, then recieved another form saying I had to agree to keep the price secret before they'd give a quote. I quickly decided that it was just not worth the effort.
Wow. I'm gonna have to look into that. It makes me wonder if you used the same form normally used to inquire about tractor purchases. It almost sounds like an automated response form. I'm not quite sure why they even use this on tractor sales. I'm pretty sure nobody takes it serious and it gives you a bad impression of their dealership. I've heard this concern referenced several times here on TBN.
Boner,
I have purchased several things through Carver (attachments ect.) Always had prompt response to questions including pricing. Never asked about tractor prices, so never was confronted by any wavier request. Send Steve or Terry an email and I bet you get a quick response with no B.S.

I have order parts twice from Carver this year. Service has been very good. All orders initiated by e-mail and Terry (parts manager) followed-up with a phone contact. Last shipment had wrong part (Kubota parts depot fault) and Carver was very quick to resolve. I'll continue to use Carver for parts as they have good service based on my experience.

One request I would like to make... can you post up-to-date market share tractor sales figures for the majors in the US... ?
Can you break them down into groups, like:
1-25 HP
26-39 HP
40-59 HP
60-100 HP
Thank you...
{and if you have any frequency/type of repair rate numbers from your dealer trade journals...?}
The only stats I have from Kubota are for Australia on the "B" series, where they claim 70% of the market. {which is understandable as Kubota is the only vendor in that market per se'}
But interestingly, I saw a year end Kubota stock portfolio report claiming 30% of the US market for tractors under 100 HP with no further breakdown in numbers or how they were arrived at...
