Price Check BEST PRICE ON KUBOTA M5040

The part about them coming and getting your tractor for service is a big thing I should ask about. I am not someone that has went to these dealers and said COME WAY DOWN ON YOUR PRICE, I went in and said I am looking for a tractor, what is your price. I honestly think I am like most people in the world.

If you and I went to the same dealer and bought the same tractor on the same day, I would be pissed if I paid 2000.00 more for the same thing just because I didn't ask him to come down. If there is nobody else out there like me I sure would like to know.

I do think most dealers have a quote price and work from there, so that they might indeed sell at different prices. It isn't likely they will just sell at the "lowest price possible to stay in business" to everyone that walks in the door. I understand that may seem unfair and I think you are right that most people are going to do some shopping and ask for a lower price. It doesn't bother me that the dealer would start with one price and let me talk him down. That's just the way it typically works with tractors, much like automobiles. Every person doesn't pay the same for the same automobile (I understand there are exceptions - dealers with one price posted and that's what you pay). You can bet each transaction the auto dealer is going to give the least possible for a trade-in and price the new one as high as the purchaser will agree to.
The initial quotes I got from the dealer I purchased from were pretty close to most others I had gotten. The nice thing was, before I asked him if he could lower the price, he asked me if that was in line with other prices I had gotten -said they want to stay competitive. When I told him the difference, he said he would meet that price. Like I said earlier, afterwards I received many extras at no cost (about $900 worth) plus the delivery which is worth more than just the $$ saved.

Here is how I work, I suspect most salesmen are the same. We quote a good price with enough margin to pay our bills and provide good support during and after the sale. If a customer pays our quoted price they get free delivery and extra's thrown in as a service. If the customer decides to beat me up I come down on price, however with the more narrow margin there is no room to provide free delivery. In the end, both customers end up paying basicly the same price.

You shouldn't have to use the dealer you bought the tractor from for your warrenty work. If the local dealer treats you different because you didn't buy from him then that shows his true colors.

That may be true for a surburban buyer with a a box store mentality, but as a farmer I don't look it that way. By the way, warrenty is warranty. I deal with ALL local dealers as I have machinery from all of them.

Does anybody out there know about how much more the cab version of the 5040 is running? I guess if your going in major debt, you might as well be comfortable in the cab.THANKS

UPDATE
After all the looking around, I jumped up tp the M6040 today and bought it. The final price for a M6040 4WD with loader and R4 tires was 25850.00
I would like to thank this site for all the info and help.

I live in central Arkansas and I like to know about good dealers.
The one in Searcy is almost always the highest priced, but at least their service is bad!
