I have a Woods RB72 (6') on my TC18. The blade weighs in around 270 lbs. It is a utility blade; with tilt angle and offset capabilities. The offset does require unbolting four bolts and sliding the blade over. I think this is an extremely good buy for $385. I've used it for ditching,(1100' of driveway) leveling (the driveway after a heavy rain) and to push in burning brush piles, I also use it to plow snow with. It does cover the rear tread width while angled to it's steepest position.
It does have a replaceable cutting edge and skid shoes and end plates are available. I priced the skid shoes they are $139. I think the shoes would come in handy since my driveway is gravel. I haven't hurt this blade yet except knocked some paint off. Extremely good quality. This blade could handle more than my Tc18 can give it. Since the 18 and the 21 are so similar I think it would handle more than the 21 could give it. I'll quit rambling now.

Thanks Guys, I'm grateful for your input. I looked at Landpride, and Bush Hog today. Bush Hog will cost $390 for a 6' blade. I checked about the Landpride, but the salesman was running his butt off, and didn't have time to talk. I did get paperwork on it. I go back to looking tomorrow. Thanks again for the replies. Kent

I'm told they are OEM for many other companies... check out the solid blade design... this GB1 Blade may very well outlast your New Holland tractor... Good bulk weight to do multiple jobs, durable A-frame design, strong, thick and high moldboard... No tools fast adjustments for tilt, offset, angle, etc... It has all the bells and whistles of the best, and I think it is one of the best.../w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I have a woods rb84 med duty with tilt, angle and offset but A lot of blades in the 300 lb category require tools to offset I agree 110 percent. I need to unbolt the moldboard and then rebolt it to offset. The heavy duty ones have a linkage that will allow it to be opffsey in either direction by hand. Very useful when grading ditches and culverts OR pushing back snowbanks!

I don't think I'd mind unbolting a few bolts to offset a blade. The only question I'd have is, can you turn the blade 360 degrees to reverse the blade with the blade in the offset mode? Is there enough clearance between the blade and the tractor to handle the extra length? I spin my blade around a fair bit when I'm doing the driveway. Some areas I scrape with the blade normally (aggressive), and then others I'll turn the blade around and still drive forward (less aggressive). If the offset blade prevents me from doing that and I needed tools to offset, I'd probably forget about the offset.

The Bush Hog blade I have has pinned connections. You remove one pin to adjust either swivel or tilt. Changing the offset requires removing two pins since you're swinging the main beam. No tools are needed in any case. Bush Hog uses telescoping cylinders with multiple holes for adjustments. I'm guessing that any back blade that has the hydraulic options would be built the same way.

The ends are set up so that if you want to convert to hydraulic in the future, you can by simply removing the existing adjuster and installing an hydraulic cylinder in it's place. One of my future projects will be to convert to hydraulic tilt. That's the adjustment I've had to make most often when spreading dirt to keep it level.
