I wonder how the engine manufacturers come up with their prescribed time/miles/hours for their engines regarding oil change intervals. Hmm...I bet during the testing process they do an oil analysis to determine when the oil should be changed. I don't think they just go along with everyone else's recommendation of the traditional 3k. So as Mike PA stated , if the oil is still good, per the oil analysis of course, then why change it?Sully2 said:Then explain why engine companys such as CAT and Cummins WONT extend any engine warranty if you are using SYN oils??? And they even brand and SELL BOTH types. To them its change oil per the prescribed time/miles/hours or your warranty if "ka-put"!
And Id think..??..they have more than a little experience with engines and oils..!

Oleozz said:Yes, Diesel Power sells it, you can send him a private message and I'm sure he will respond or you can Google in Texas Refinery Corp.
I just changed my hydraulic oil in my shuttle shift Kioti, replaced it with TRC's oil and I can definitely tell a difference in the way it shifts, much smoother now than with Sam's Club oil.

It does for someone that cares to know what's going on inside their engine & not just the oil for those that don't know .........it's fuel, oil, dirt, etc, etc,
DieselPower said:Some forget that the main reason for performing a UOA in the first place is NOT to extend drain intervals. It is to check for contamination and wear metals, in other words it's a regularly scheduled health check for your engine, trans or rear. The fact that with a properly implemented UOA program you can extend drain intervals is just a added bonus.
