John,
I'm moving to Northern Colorado, in the foothills. Our land is at 7400 feet, we get an average of 60" of snow a year, most of it pretty fluffy. My driveway is about 1/4 mile long with mostly 10 degree slope but some few spots at 15-18 degrees. Can a Ranger handle that kind of slope and still remove snow if I put on decent tires and chains for the winter or is the machine just too light for that quantity of work? What do you think? I read your reply and thought you might have a clear idea. Thanks

This is a pretty old thread you kicked up so I doubt you'll hear from John.

With decent tire and chains, yes. In fact I think just good tires will do the job. Probably be best to try push down hill mostly anyway.
