Thoughts? Right now I just lower the arms as much as possible, then "muscle" the left side on, followed by the right side via the leveling arm. Too much manual labor, not to mention that will get harder as I get older (or so I hear) :)

I back up, pick the low side to line up perfectly, get off, swing that one on and pin, go to other side, usually enough slack to lift it a bit and pop it on. BTW, I have it easy, almost all my small stuff is cat 1 pins where both tractors are Cat 2 hitches. Makes a nice easy job hitching. My big stuff is all cat 2 and I tend to use the extendable links and crank adjuster then, since there is no way to shove the Cat 2 stuff around.

Put your implements on dolleys so you can roll them easily into place

Or you could hang them from tree limbs or rafters so you can easily swing them into place

Here's my dad's flail mower sitting on its dolley:

What are you trying to muscle on? Even without a quickhitch, I probably only had to muscle one side, but not both. I make it a point to leave lots of room parking implements and on blocks, or wood.

I got one of those HF quick hitch , it makes hookups a breeze for most stuff I got.

HF quick hitch - is that Harbor Freight? Sounds like a good idea.

I use a Quick hitch. I started with Pats then bought a $100 one off Ebay and then bought anothe rone off ebay and sold the Pats. I have two now but mainly use the one that will hook coming down or coming up. The reason I use it mostly is with the QH my drive shaft on my tiller was to short but with the down one it works.

Another vote for a quick hitch. I got the one from Harbor Freight a while back and don't think I'd EVER want a tractor without one again. Until I put horse panel on the ROP of my tractor, I could back up to an implement and hook up most times without ever leaving the seat of the tractor (unless I had to hook up the pto of course). Only reason I can't do it with the horse panel in place is because I can't reach the 2 handles on the quick hitch.

All of my implements are on dollies and the garage floor is very smooth. Most of the implements can be pushed with a finger or two. Even the backhoe can be pushed with one hand. Alignment is a breeze and coupling a snap.

Can you post another picture of your dollies and garage for those that haven't seen it? I'd like to also see it again.
Tom is the undisputed KING of space saving and storing of tractor implements, in my opinion.

I pin the 3 point arms as wide open as possible and lowered almost all the way. Then back up to your implement and center one arm ball with the implement pin. I then get off the tractor, unpin that arm and lift the arm to the implement pin. If your tractor has the arm extender adjustment use that, too. Then do the other side the same way. I keep a small pry bar with me to help with unhooking an implement, also. I just pry the ball from the implement pin.

The idea of pinning the arms open and lowered when backing is useful because the arms will flail back and forth and you can't get the distance lined up correctly with the arms out of kelter. Keeping the arms lowered keeps you from having to get back on the tractor to reposition the arm since it was too high and not lined up. It's just easier to manually pick the arm up and position it. I hope this makes sense.

the dollys would work if you have a nice hard floor and space to put it in. I dont.:(
