Best way to pump water?

What about a PTO pump? I'm not sure what the price would be on a 50GPM unit. Mine is a smaller one at ~12GPM at 540 and ~22 at 1000rpm. Its was ~$120 for the pump and coupler.

Do you have a 1000rpm pto?

A hypro 1200 4 roller pump will put out almost 49GPM at 540 and 74 at 800rpm.

A 9016-C will put out 70GPM at 50psi at 540, price is ~$550.

The state guy came today & he is a lot more reasonable than their regs say he is supposed to be. Bottom line is they want to get the piles burned as much as I do & are willing to work with me to make it happen.

Soooo, I still need a pump, but the idea is not to use the water to extinguish a rip roaring fire, but one that has burned down to embers & is sending smoke toward Portland. So they will accept a smaller pump, say 20-30 GPM. TSC is the only place I have seen them, does anyone else carry them so I can comparison shop?

You can do a search on Google, Yahoo etc... TSC seems to have reasonable prices though.

You probably know this but.....Don't turn the hose nozzle off with the pump running unless you install a bypass/regulator. You'll build up a lot of pressure like 300psi depending on the pump.
