It seems smaller but it will never be anywhere as agile as the 5030 was or my L3710 for that matter. It's still "a bull in a china shop" compared to the others and the same holds true for the 105. I really miss the HST no doubt about that. There is a lot less power loss with the 12x12, but nowhere near the close control as the 5030 had.
