I might not have to worry at all about tire clearance. Bad storms expected tonight and I have not had time to build it's shed. Hail and high winds might take the fenders off for me. I did put a car cover over it just to say I tried. Fingers crossed!

Hopefully it's not an heavy hail storm and doesn't cause any damage to that beauty.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, mine sits outside all year around, for almost 3 years now. We've had several hail storms, nothing huge, no "golf ball" or "softball" size hail, but close to golf ball size. So far, no hail damage (or any other damage) to ours.

I had my little SCUT for about a month when a hail storm hit us... I was out working on it and saw the storm approaching quick. Only had time to park it in the driveway right next to the vehicles. The hail was 1 to 1 1/2 inches.... totaled (as far as insurance claim) our 2 year old car, caused $2500 worth of damage to my Jeep, and $10k in damage to our travel trailer. There was not a mark or dent on the tractor! Cleaned off some of the dirt real good! I honestly think they use stronger steel in the tractors than they do in new cars today!

All is well! I was really only concerned about the glass. Shed build is moving up the priority list.

I've lived in Western New York and the SF Bay area and I've never seen hail that big.

Do you like your LS?

I have a appointment scheduled for Saturday to put the 4815C on a PTO dynamometer. Unfortunately they don't have the printer to print the graph but I will try to get a picture. At least we will find out what the PTO HP is before doing the muffler mod and then we will run it again afterwards to see how much it changes.

I will post results here. Should be interesting. :confused3:

Yeah the metal in cars these days is pretty thin and weak. I used to have a 1946 Desoto, and I swear you could have made 3 modern cars from pounding out the hood of that thing. You couldn't pop dents out of a car like that with suction cups and glue like modern cars. Glad to hear the tractors hold up in hail.

We had a timely hail storm here a few years back. Damaged the roof of the house and garage, some siding and windows. I was about due for a new roof anyways, so the $1000 deductible got me new siding, new roof, new windows, and paint. I guess sometimes mother nature is a blessing in disguise.

Hey that will be interesting for sure. Thanks for doing that. Maybe start a new thread topic when you get your initial results? Will make it easier for us to follow along.
